Long story short my parents are making my friend and I take polygraph test today because they think we stole a large sum of money from them.

Neither my friend or I did it, but we are both still nervous and think that just because we are nervous we will turn up a false positive on the test.

Are there any substances that might make taking this thing easier?

I have an almost unlimited supply of weed at my disposal... but I don't know if that would help any.

Any recommendations?

I can't think of anything specific, nor have heard anything about this before, but I'm guessing weed would probably be a bad idea. You know, getting paranoid and all, but other then that, you could try benzos, and possibly sedatives or muscle relaxors. But seriously, unless you already have, look up some stuff about this, there's gotta be something out there about shit like this, just google it.

If you didn't do it then take it sober and pass it. Showing up high could lead them to believe you spent all the money on drugs. You know how parents are.

If you didnt do it, why would you want to fuck up the results with drugs? They have ways of avoiding false-positives. They ask a few tester questions that they know the answer to, record those readings, then they compare those readings to the questions about the stolen money. So if you are just nervous through the whole thing (and didnt do it), the readings wont peak at those questions about the theft.

no drugs will help you. It goes by pulse rate, so I mean, if you take cocaine, it wont help.

if its a straight polygraph test where the questions are "did you take the money" etc. then just show your parents the data that proves those types of tests are hugley unreliable, which is why they're no longer admissable in court.

If its a "guilty knowledge" style test, questions like: "was the money mostly $100 bills or $20s?" then you'll have a harder time, but the false positive rate is still fairly high.

Benzos might help, but if its done right the test is designed to factor nervousness into the results. in any case if you come up positive you can contest it by showing statistics that prove polygraphs are horse shit anyways.
