Default So ronery....

so ronery... (http://nostradidifan.free.fr/Team%20America/06%20-%20I%27m%20So%20Ronery.mp3)

Yeah, that's basically how I've been feeling for the last month or so.

Most of my friends act like I don't even exist. I don't have anybody to talk to. I never get invited to anything, and the people I care about the most have practically shunned me. I don't even know what I did.

Coupled with all the crap going on at home, I've pretty much lost all motivation to do things I enjoy. I just always end up being forgotten.

Edit: This all started when this new kid showed up. I don't have a problem with him at all, but it's almost as if he turned all my friends against me without realizing it. Confronting him would not be that wise, but it's as if the fact that he's there negates my entire existence.

Anyone relate?

Well you're obviously a fucking socially retarded piece of shit. Don't kill yourself or anything but maybe try getting a hobby or a dog or something.

Yes, but they always act like I'm not there.
I have trouble talking to people in general, plus there's a few people who would prefer to see me in this state.

I have lots of social issues, but I've been working very hard on them. Now it just feels like all of it has been in vain. :(

I think most people are lonely, especially from teenage to the beginning of 'real' adulthood (like 25+ ish) because everyone tends to be so self absorbed and intent on forming a meaningful identity, etc, that we can all sort of pass by each other like ghosts, without much of a care of the other person's actual person. I suppose you could also consider this taking friends for granted, or 'friendships on autopilot', you just sort of set it there and see how it goes but don't have much of an active participation.

No one wants to have much of an active role in a friendship. It's kind of lame. If you're calling your friends and asking to hang out, and they're always blowing you off and making excuses, I'd make new friends very soon. Though you have to be sure it's not some paranoid delusion and they're not just busy with life stuff or something.

I don't know, friendship is kind of a two way street. My friends hardly ever phone me, because I don't really avail myself in a way that's like 'yeah, call me.' But that's basically communicating the impression to others, that while I may enjoy their company in whatever moments I spend with them, I'm not really intending for much to come from it. Perhaps I'm a bit too protective of my personal space. The point is, people pick up on things like that.

I dunno, just some things to consider. Don't think my advice is much at all. It's just sort of a different frame of reference, or a different way of looking at your situation. I don't actually know anything about you, your friends, or how they see you.

Well you should be more thorough in your original post and tell some more about yourself and how you think you got into this situation.

Honestly, if you're being pushed out, find a new niche. Complaining just makes a person look like a bitch (demz the breaks, yo). And you can't very well just sit and wait for them to change their tune. Begin exploring new social circles, etc. I know it's the cliche, thoughtless, stock response. But I tend to take a passive attitude towards friendships. If I'm being squeezed out, well, I won't even put up an argument, or even give it any form of second thought. I'll just calmly and rationally accept it, and do us both a favour and stop inconveniencing them with the expectations(benefits/costs) of our supposed friendship.
