Being friends again
tl;dr: fuck you. If you're too fucking lazy to read my thread then you can just piss off and continue fapping to that cute aussie like I know you just did. Wash your fucking hands.
Let me start off by saying that I do not expect my ex to get back into a relationship with me just because I ask; I'm not even sure if I really want her to.
So I dated this chick about 6 months ago, lets call her Amy. She was amazing: stunningly cute, shy, hilarious, great style, same interests, and loved to snuggle (fuck you, I like snuggling more than bjs). I was 17 at the time and she was younger than me by 2 years and 2 weeks. Her parents are fucking crazy, and they wouldn't let us be together because of the age difference. Her dad said that if I ever talked to her again that he would beat the living shit out of me. We tried talking to them and going behind their backs, but nothing worked. After that, I heard from her twice over the summer. She said she loved me, but that doesn't mean much at age 15.
Come the beginning of school, she apologized for all the bullshit thats gone on, then continued ignoring me. When she was forced to make eye contact in the halls inbetween classes, shed wave and give me a sadass look. I eventually got a difference lunch period, and chilled with a large group of friends which included her. Since september, I can count on two hands how many times shes talked to me, and it was all superficial bullshit. Thats fucking sad considering I see her every day now.
The bottom line is, I miss her so fucking much. All I want to do is be able to talk to her again like before and be friends, but I don't know how to say that. I'm not gonna be a pussy bitch and write her a note or text her, but I'm a shy motherfucker; I can't approach her with this unless I know EXACTLY what to say and know that it wont exacerbate the situation. I've tried joking with her in hopes of spurring a conversation, but to no avail.
How do I talk to her about this without coming off as needy, insecure, and basically an overall little bitch?

Re: Being friends again
Well I don't see much you can do if you've already tried talking to her parents and going behind their backs to try and stay together. She's a girl she's probably already moved on anyway. Six months is a long time for a 15 year old. If she was truly sad about the situation like you say she seems then I bet she would have done something to try and get back together with you already. Just let her go, you'll get over her and it will make you stronger in the end. Loss is natural.

Re: Being friends again
yeah dude it hurts but you'll back on it and won't be able to even remember the pain. the best advice is work on yourself for the time being. broaden your horizons, find a new hobby, find something to believe in, and women just have a habit of falling into your lap.

She was your girlfriend, you have no right to be shy around her.

Re: Being friends again
Key word is 'was'. Now Im lucky if we make eye contact.
And I make an definate effort to not act shy around her, but to just go up and be like 'hey. I miss you and although I don't think either of us wants to be in a relationship again, I still want to be good friends' is something I just can't do easily.

It might not be easy, but it's the best solution and a big part of growing up is realizing that the easy option is not always the best. Grow a pair, walk up to her and say exactly what you said. Sometimes, for the sake of relationships, you need to put your emotions on the line and go out on a limb.
What's worse?
A. Being really nervous for a minute while you build up the confidence to say it to her. Then 30 seconds of you awkwardly telling her you miss her and want friendship. Then a few seconds of terror after you're done as you wait for her response.
B. Never finding out, never having her as a friend again, continuing superficial conversations and awkward waves in the halls?
That's what I thought.

Re: Being friends again
Unless she's fat and ugly, a guy never wants to be "just friends" with a girl.
I think you're confused about your feelings. I mean, even if you did start talking again, where would it go from there? You'd want a relationship, of course. Nobody is this desperate to just be friends with a girl, especially if they've already had a "thing".
I'm just saying, think about it.

So you're saying that theres no such thing as staying friends after a relationship? Get the fuck out of here. Girls who I've been in past relationships with usually make the best friends.
Sure, it would be nice to get together again and have things just like before shit turned real, but too much has happened, and I respect the fact that she wont go against her parents just for a guy (no matter how unrealistic and fucking psycho they might be).

Not denying it, I'm just saying there's ALWAYS going to be sexual tension. And if you deny that, then you're just a silly melon head
Seriously though, if I stayed close friends with a girl I've broken up with, you're going to go through stints of liking her, fucking her etc. I just don't think you know what you want.
Also, don't correct me when you're the one asking for advice.

I've got a few girl friends that are just really close, had sex with one or two but other than that I didn't want to take it further, only had teh sex cause we were bored, all in all it's possible if you get past being a weirdo with them.

In the boy problems thread. At least her whining might bring about some tits, unlike this thread.
