So I have this Flexeril that just expired about 4 months ago. I didn't think much of it until I saw that it had an expiration date. Anyway as it turns out Medicine will lose it's potency over time (duh) but more importantly some medication could become toxic. I really don't want either of those things happen to my Flexeril so now I've come to the startling realization that I have all this Flexeril that needs to be taken before it gets to one of those points. Anyway my questions are:

A. Can Flexeril become toxic over time and if so how long before it reaches that point?

B. My flexeril is 10mg. How much should I take to feel good? Bare in mind I rarely take the stuff so my tolorance to it is low.

dont take it. give it back to your grandma. end of story. dont stop your heart.

IMO flexeril isn't all too recreational. I've taken a couple before and the only feeling I got was a little relaxation followed by restless legs.

So in conclusion cyclobenzaprine is not very recreational at all therefore if you are going to take it start with 20 mgs and work your way up until you start to feel desired effects, I wouldn't take it at all but it seems like you are set on taking these before they go bad.

I highly doubt there will be any loss of potency in four months. If you compare different medications, they all have the expiration date set one year after it was bottled....It doesn't even go off of when the drug was synthesized/pressed/whatever.

And I'll have to agree with terkey. It is a muscle relaxant, but a weak one at that. Soma is a really good one though, if you're interested in that field of drugs.

Cyclobenzaprine is good for what it's prescribed for--muscle pain. That's about it. If there's no pain, it really won't do much, recreationally speaking. I had a prescription like a year ago and took maybe eight of them (it was for a muscle spasm). It worked to relieve the spasm but no nice buzz to speak of or anything, really.

As for expiration, like what's been said, it'll be fine four months over. I typically like to believe anything less than a year is fine, at least with any drug worth taking for recreational value.

Save it. When you get some painkillers, pop a couple flexeril with 'em.

On many medications the reason they stress you do not exceed the daily dosage is b/c of your liver and kidneys.

You build up more of the drug in your body than your body can process, and this causes toxic levels to build and many times leads to permanent liver and kidney damage, and in the worst cases, failure.

You can do this with just about any pill. People have died from OTC sinus meds doing shit like this.

The more addicted you get the more left over unprocessed chemical is left in your body when you dose again. This slowly builds up to a problem, but the symptoms something is not right will be there, if you can feel them, depending upon what meds you are taking.

Definitely this^. It'll increase the potency, they might actually use flexeril in conjunction with other pain killers (I know they do with Soma, tried that and it went very well.) But in response to the person who mentioned they took T3's from 98, I actually once had a bottle of Vicodin from like 2 years before and when I did 'em they got me fucked up. But just like LSD, other chemicals breakdown through being exposed to sunlight, air, or whatever, but definitely not at the same rate.

But anyways, as far as 4 months, I don't think there'll be any negative side-effects, unless you find something online (try erowid), but other then that, Flexeril isn't really recreational unless you're mad bored.

Cyclobenzaprine isn't recreational in the normal sense. I did used to love to pop 1 or 2 right be fore bed and have the most crazy lucid dreams. It was a very interesting experience.

By its self flexeril isnt recreational, but combined with opiates it is a nice potenator. for this dose anywhere from 10-30mg.

Medication typically does not degrade into anything toxic. That would be a pretty big liability if it did, and your pharmacist would certainly advise you of it. It does lose potency but if your pills are 4 months expired they're only around 2.5 years old, you got plenty of time before they degrade.

cyclobenzaprine is really not recreational. It has been used for potentiation of opiates/oids by some people but alone it will just knock you out. It is a muscle relaxer and is structurally related to tricyclic antidepressants but it has side effects that include anticholinergic effects, which is the effects you would get from antihistamines like diphenhydrimine and dimenhydrinate.
Save it. When you get some painkillers, pop a couple flexeril with 'em.Yeah you may want to do that VERY cautiously because the op has no tolerance and flexiril is VERY sedating. So op, be very cautious if you decide to take them with any opiates/opioids and cut your normal doses in half.
