Well, it's been almost two weeks since I dropped for the first time, and something disheartening has happened.

From 12:30pm to 1:00am last night I had a full on flashback, which I thought was kind of cool.

But since about 4:15pm (it's 8:41pm) I've been having another one.

The difference from when I tripped is simply that my pupils will un-dilate if I shine a light in them, and no audio hallucinations. There are no visual hallucinations, just distortions.


If I stare at the wall, it moves and distorts, morphing and "breathing".

If I stare at my face in the mirror for more than five or ten seconds, my face starts to morph and distort.

My pupils are fully dilated, and only un-dilate when I shine a strong flashlight in them.

Basically like my trip minus hearing laughing elves and unnaturally moving trees.

According to google searches, they usually only last moments/minutes.

So far, it's been over 4 hours...//

Shit.

Wasn't experiencing any of this prior to the flashback...

Have any of you experienced anything like this?

EDIT: What I'm fishing for: is there a chance that this could just be a REALLY long flashback, or is it hppd?

Since this is happening so close to when you dosed my bet is that they will decrease in severity and frequency as time passes. Thats what happened to me.

Can you give us a better discription of how intense they are? Can you pull yourself out of it if you try? Does it impair your ability to drive or function normally?

What would you rate the intensity on a scale of 0-10, 0 being sober and 10 being the intensity of the trip while you were on acid?

You were not in any way shape or form prepared to take lsd in the first place; I've never ever heard somebody have some many complaints after a trip then you do. It is not a flashback and it probaly is not HPPD, HPPD most of the time takes heavily psychdelic use after numerous years to manifest, not something that happens a couple days after your first acid trip. My best guess is that you the lsd trigger some type of sensory response or a pscylogical disorder that has been dormant and may not of shown itself for a good amount of time. Also, Im willing to bet that your not seeing all that you think you are seeing, meaning that since you think that your having visual distortions you seem to think you have them alot more then you really do (Your fooling your mind, placebo effect). Give it time, if it still going on long after this and you start to have anxiety, panic attacks or anything related to that then you know that you just fucked yourself, dont just go screaming HPPD yet

Edit: Just because you just said that you normally have a 'screwy mind' is not really good news; that could be a dormant psylogical problem, as I will put more emphasis on it. An lsd trip was not what you needed kid

I "jumped in" to acid because I'm pretty into things like Lucid Dreaming, OBE's, ect. and I wanted to go a step further into my psyche.

So I thought it would just be an unusual, interesting and potentially introspective experience.

I researched the affects and risks.

It was amazing.

Then I had a fucking four (now 6) hour flashback.

So I asked totse.

I didn't try pot because, to me, it didn't sound like much.

The trip was great, revealing, deep and fun.

It's the after affects that I don't like.

You probably would be better off if you never touched a drug again. I would reccomend never doing any drug besides alcohol and weed. (Its funny that everyone who does other drugs said that when they started.) But if you are going to do harder drugs, put at least a week's research into any one that you do.

That's definately unusual; not that many hallucinogens cause pupillary dilation, oddly enough, and those that do seldom un-dilate in response to stimuli. Furthermore, most people with HPPD don't have pupillary dilation.

Are you sure you aren't just placebowned? Can you give us video of your pupils in various lighting conditions?

Don't confuse academic success with discipline kid. Anyway, as said you are probably fooling yourself more than anything because you are worried about it. I mean really what's with all these kids these days that take one dose of acid and then think they have HPPD or flashbacks? The very fact that you are able to read these forums means that even if, and it's a big fucking if, what you are worried about is caused by the acid it isn't that bad(ever try to read while actually tripping?).

Unlike most who start to mildly hallucinate after being awake for much longer periods of time but its been about 22 hours since i have slept and im getting mild tracer effects. This used to not happen, but then again i used to not take LSD...

Acid flashbacks are strange, I wouldnt call what i am having now a flashback just fucked up vision from not sleeping and maybe the stress this sort of thing puts on the mind. But i seem to have 1 recognizable trigger for acid flashbacks, there is a campground i sometimes go up to with my father, and at night everything has trails. Its only in this location, everywhere else we have camped i do not get this, and the campground has nothing to do with any of my trips. most ive done there is smoke some bud.... but they always go away after a good nights sleep, and the sun comes up. try taking a nap and sleeping it off...
