Which one fucks you up more? I hear that Oxycontin has more Oxycodone in it but the acetaminophen in Percocet increases the the effects of the Oxycodone.

They are both the same opiate. If you take 10 10mg percs you will be more fucked up that if you take an OC 80. Where as, if you take 20mg of precocet 40mg of OC will fuck you up more.

The APAP in percs is just tylenol. It does nothing to potenate the oxy, it just reduces your inflamation and relieves some pain without causing any euphoria.

The only difference is that becasue percs have APAP in them they can only be taken orally. OC on the other hand can be snorted or injected as well.

Apap only would potentiate the anagesic properties of the oxy. The apap also will cause hepatic damage otherwise known as liver damge if you have any kind of semi large habit. Like if your taking the max allowed dose of oxy everyday. So oxycontin is better than percs because you get more and you dont have to worry about liver damage from them.

You sound like a total pussy in your post. I didn't say that it was the tylenol that made any difference. I said that snorting oxy gives a slightly different high than eating it. It seems to me like you probably have not experimented to much with opiates. Why do you think the majority of people snort there OC? Could it be that it kicks in quicker and more intense? Perc's have 5mg of oxy, with a shitload of tylenol. I still prefer to snort them because I prefer to snort oxycodone period, and I can handle a little extra powder.

how fucked up you get is the result of how much drug is in your brain at one time. Bioavailability is the total percentage of the drug that is absorbed.

You get higher when you snort it becasue all of it that will be absorbed is absorbed at once. this leads to a high total amount of oxy in the blrain. If you eat it, more of it is absorbed, but it is absorbed much slower. This means that it has a higher bioavailability than insufflation, even though the amount of oxy in your system at one time never gets as high as it does when you snort it.

As a side note related to this whole bioavailability question, bioavailability varies from person to person. I'm an extreme case--I can't absorb much orally. I have this thing called celiac disease, which basically means you can't eat any wheat or else it fucks up your intestines. Your villi get blunted and worn down until your intestinal walls are smooth. I didn't know about it for a long time, and as a result of eating all that wheat over the years, my intestines are totally fucked. I have trouble absorbing food, nutrients, pills; anything that goes in my mouth. I can eat a LOT of oxycontin and feel next to nothing. Snort it, though, and everything works great. My oral bioavailability is much lower than my nasal. I guarantee the same is true, maybe to a lesser extent, for others on this board, because some people just absorb stuff better than others. Just don't assume what's true for you or what it says on erowid is true for everyone.

BTW: They think celiac disease occurs in about 1% of the population, and it's REALLY under-diagnosed. Some of you reading this probably have exactly the same thing.
