So Im Pregnant...
I found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant.
I'm 18, and my boyfriend of two years was with me when I found out, and he was being really supportive. Then later when we were talking about it, I said something about what he would do if I wanted to keep it. He replied with “I’d leave you.” Then I told him that wasn’t funny to joke about, and he replied with “I'm just kidding, I would just threaten to leave you till you changed your mind.”
I got pretty upset over it, and then later he was telling me it was just a joke etc and it was pathetic that I got so angry at him, but the thing is he has been doing things like this the whole past month. A month ago he told me he wanted to leave and go to another country alone. He was willing to just leave me, and not care. Then after a few days he changed his mind and said he was too scared of loosing me etc. Now he’s telling me that this was just a joke, but can I trust that?
I'm not keeping the baby due to the fact I think I'm far to young and need to live my life first, so I've booked in for an abortion.
Any tips about the abortion, or about what I should do about my boyfriends feelings? Is this just how he’s dealing with it?

abortion is murder, tramp. take responsibility for your actions. thats my tip about abortion, as for your boy friend , he seems like a douche.

Seriously, abortion is not your answer. Give it up for adoption. really think about this, if you're boyfriend is going to leave you because you keep it, then fuck him he isn't worth your time.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
im sure she wants this abortion. she has probably thought this out, and thats more than i can say for 80% of totse. remember if your chances of getting pregnant later may be reduced, so if you want kids later on in life it may not be that easy. there is still much debate about whether an abortion is murder or not. You are right though, you are young and have a lot to live for. I'm not going to tell you if this is wrong or right, but the choice lies with you.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
Your boyfriend sounds like a dick. Tell him you're the one who's pregnant, he took 50% of the role in getting the job done, but ultimately you're the one who has to do all the work. Tell him to shut the fuck up because his jokes aren't funny.
Now about the abortion: Think it through, long and hard. You found out a few days ago that you're pregnant and have already booked. If you're that sure about it, go ahead. But you have to be 100% with your decision. Will you regret it when it's done? In a year? In 10 years? I don't know what I'm getting at other than you seem to have made this decision pretty quickly, I just hope you're confident with it.
Also, what type of contraceptive measures were you taking?

Re: So Im Pregnant...
Just think about what YOU want to do. Don't let him influence something as important as this. You have to remember that you could be bringing another life into the world, or not. Personally I think abortion is fucked up and wrong, but I don't want to get into any kind of debate here.
Just seriously think about the circumstances first. Don't let someone who most likely won't be with you forever influence a decision that could affect you forever, so what YOU want to do. If you want to have the kid and put it up for adoption then go ahead. If you really want to get an abortion, and have thought everything through, then go ahead.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
I'm surprised at how many totseans are anti-abortion. What do you do if you make a written mistake? You rub it out. Duh. But it's your choice. Dump your boyfriend though. He sounds like a wanker.
Though it could be that he's scared you'll keep it, because he really doesn't want that. So he's willing to do whatever he has to do get you to get rid of it. It might be his way of having some input on the decision. Seriously though, he'd be a shit father, get rid of it. The world does not need more unloved children.

THIS IS NOT only your decison. . You could't have gotten accidentally pregnant by yourself.
If you keep it, he will leave you and then what? are you willing to raise the child by yourself? your life will suddenly be "all about the kid". how many guys are interested in a relationship with a single mum??

BUT it's only the law because you cant force an abortion on someone. It's the best fix, but not a good one.

abortion is murder, tramp.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder#At_Common_law
Murder is the unlawful killing of another human person with malice aforethought, as defined in Common Law countries. Murder is generally distinguished from other forms of homicide by the elements of malice aforethought and the lack of lawful justification. All jurisdictions, ancient and modern, consider it a most serious crime and therefore impose severe penalty on its commission.

The only tips we can give you are to be sure with your decision. I'm pretty much pro-choice, so I really have no problem with your abortion.
I am a guy, so I really have no real insight on the abortion thing and how to go about it. Maybe a girl who's had an abortion will chime in here.

Adoption? So she has to carry it around, think bout what she eats and drinks, mood swings, for 9 months, to give it away?
Hell, and it's not like the world isn't full enough as it is
Can't deny i'm happy you seem pro abortion. Specially since you can always waste your life on a baby when you've wasted more of your life on being young

What the fuck, 18 isn't that young. And having a child doesnt mean your life is over. My mum was pregnant when she was 19, had 3 more children and still had time to become a pathologist.
I don't forsee a problem if, as you said, he's being really supportive. A supportive family and friend group is just as important as a boyfriend. To me it sounds like he's just messing around. No doubt he's thinking about it, but if he was really going to leave you i don't think he would put it in such abrupt terms.
And if he was serious, just abort anyway. There's plenty of sperm in the sea.
Typical complex;the problem didn't exist until you started questioning him.
This is all coming from someone without a vagina however.

Ok lets keep the soap boxing out of it. Whether you believe that abortion is murder or not, OP wasn't asking that. She says she has decided to have an abortion and wants input. Whether or not she has made an informed choice , whether of or not its morally justifiable isn't the question.
If this turns into a Pro-Choice v. Pro-life debate then it'll get closed.

listen, its her choice, not yours.
I think that's the main subject here.
It doesn't matter what YOU want to do to that tumor in her belly, she can do what SHE want's to it.
Sorry buddy, but free will wins every time.
And now since jacketch banned this kinda talk.
Your boyfriend is acting like most guys would in this situation, albeit a little immature about how to discuss the issue with you, perhaps you could talk with him, flat out about this, and hope he does the same.

Nah he was close but not close enough. I just don't want this to turn into a battle of "ABORTION IS MURDER" and "ITS MY BODY!".
Anyone wants to call her a dumb fuck for getting pregnant, well thats just free speech. Same goes for those urging her to abort.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
I've known 5 girls who have got pregnant out of wedlock, all over 18. 3 of them kept the child and ruined their lives. 2 girls had abortions, one felt bad for about a month and now she's fine, happy and successful. The last girl had the abortion, dumped the guy who got her pregnant and then went on to live a very successful life.
My advice to you: get an abortion. Also you can't get pregnant while you're pregnant, so take this opportunity to enjoy some unprotected sex with your boyfriend.

It's already been said - your boyfriend isn't the best there is...
You deserve better than someone who will not in essence take responsibility for what he has done. Whether you keep it or not is irrelevant. People shouldn't be having sex if they're going to be a cunt about it if it doesn't go according to plan.
I'd give minimal attention to your boyfriend's feelings right now, and concentrate on you. This is going to be hard - and you have my best wishes

Wow, that sucks.
Your boyfriend's an ass, that's already been established.
Tell him to be more considerate, or dump him, you don't need any drama right now.
And I commend you for being able to make your own decision; abortion sucks, but for some, it's a necessary evil. Especially when you're young. Hopefully you aren't in too deep, because the sooner you get it, the easier. Hell, if it's not too late, you can take that pill.
Good luck, hope everything works out with you.

Quiet down, you little shit. We don't need her trash child running amok the world with a fuck of a father.
And you, OP, you're a stupid shit for being attached to the prick that CHILD you're so called boyfriend is. I can't have the two of you reproducing retards and ruining the world.
Ok, OP, you made me do it... I'll let you in on a little secret because you're too fucking naive to see it yourself. The toddler you're dating? He's a horny little thing. He will do what it takes to satisfy that troublesome worm pecker of his. He DOES not want a commitment with you, he does not see you in his future, he could care less about you. His eyes are aimed at that floppy vagina you bare.
But what do you know? You're a naive inconsiderate whore. You're inconsiderate of others' feelings; and when I mean others, I mean me. I don't want to hear that you came very close to adding another shit to the toilet of a world. I fucking hate stupid fucks such as yourself. Baring you vag to some troll looking to get his kick off.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
Dude, abortions are no fun. I've had 3 friends all go through them and all of them reacted differently. However one of them (and my closest friend out of the 3) had a semi bad reaction. Meaning that to this day she still regrets it and wishes that she would have kept it.
And why did she get the abortion? Because her boyfriend told her to do it. She's still with the guy which is good i suppose, however she still wishes she hadn't gotten the abortion.
Anyways, what i'm saying is don't get the abortion just for your relationship. Get it because you want to, not your boyfriend. Chances are that you'll break up in the future whether you get the abortion or not, so in the end it makes no difference except you might then be a single mum.
It is just your decision, your boyfriend is allowed to voice his opinion, however in the end it all comes down to you.
Whatever choice you make will seem like the wrong one, but whatever you choose will be the right decision.

yes, but being a single mum at the age of 18 is about one of the stupidest things you can possibly do if you want to have an semblence of an independant life. Children are a good 20 years of work. cause once you've hit 38 or whatever and you realise that you've missed out on all the opportunities that youth gives you. you might be more than a little dissapointed

The moral of the story is pretty clear there, the woman should be the only one to decide whether she should get an abortion. It's her body and if she dosen't want a parasite she should be able to get rid of it before it turns into a person. Yes it has life, but so do sperm.
Do what you want to do don't get caught up in the guilt of anyone else, boyfriend, family or internet assholes.

That came off meaner than it should of, but im saying, if you are so terrified of having a baby right now, maybe you should have been on some kind of birth control.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
If i was a girl. I would get as pregnant as many times as possible then have abortions after the third month of being pregnant so i would deliver a potato sized 1/3 developed dead fetus, then i would take the fetus, put it in a jar of preservative liquid and put it in a secret room in my house. and i would do it until i had so many the rooms walls were nothing but potato sized aborted fetuses then i would have a kid and when they're bad i would make them sit in the fetus room and remind them of how easy i could have aborted there ass.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
I found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant.
I'm 18, and my boyfriend of two years was with me when I found out, and he was being really supportive. Then later when we were talking about it, I said something about what he would do if I wanted to keep it. He replied with Id leave you. Then I told him that wasnt funny to joke about, and he replied with I'm just kidding, I would just threaten to leave you till you changed your mind.
Now hes telling me that this was just a joke, but can I trust that?
I'm not keeping the baby due to the fact I think I'm far to young and need to live my life first, so I've booked in for an abortion.
Any tips about the abortion, or about what I should do about my boyfriends feelings? Is this just how hes dealing with it?

Hmm.. so far I have collected the following info
-OP is stupid
-OP put out at least once
-OP will get the abortion, then cry about it for 3 months, then become a sociopath.
Why can't kids figure out how birth control works?

Maybe you shouldn't have been such an immoral whore.
I fail to see what the problem with your boyfriend is, you're murdering the innocent little baby anyway so he's not going to leave your skank ass for that.

The world does not need more unloved children.
There are no unloved children - merely children who haven't yet met their true love.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
You can always get pregnant again when you're fiscally and mentally ready to be a parent.
Just don't overanalyze the situation. Go do it, and then don't think about it too much. The earlier the better.
Then, tell your boyfriend he has to pay you for half the cost of the procedure. Deposit the money in the bank, and then break up with him.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
I'm surprised at the number of Totseans against Abortion. Why is this?
I also don't understand what is the problem of abortion if you are getting it right away before it has had time to develop?
Why do people find Abortion wrong? How come people would feel guilty about it?
Is it because it's something biological, that makes women feel that way?

Why do people find Abortion wrong? See question 1. How come people would feel guilty about it?

Anytime a baby leaves a womb, be it via normal birth, miscarriage or abortion, it can trigger depression or even psychosis. Even if the woman is happy to have given birth or aborted. Even if the woman was "normal" before hand. Doctors aren't quite sure why, hormones seem to play a major role though.

Could be that people are normally against abortion and you just dont hear about them in the biased media.
I also don't understand what is the problem of abortion if you are getting it right away before it has had time to develop?
Even if it's just a zygote, it's still technically human life. And some people have a problem with taking human lives because it's murder.
Why do people find Abortion wrong? How come people would feel guilty about it?
Is it because it's something biological, that makes women feel that way?
See above. Fetuses are live humans, and people tend to have moral qualms about taking human lives, which is what abortion is.

That would be a much more reasonable explanation if half of &totse wouldn't find punting babies after they were born to be a reasonable and entertaining hobby.
For now, however, we will continue to marvel.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
yes, but being a single mum at the age of 18 is about one of the stupidest things you can possibly do if you want to have an semblence of an independant life. Children are a good 20 years of work. cause once you've hit 38 or whatever and you realise that you've missed out on all the opportunities that youth gives you. you might be more than a little dissapointed
This.
and for people who say she's stupid...shit happens.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
ok check this out, as a guy who has been through the pregnancy ordeal let me tell you, there is nothing more frightening that knowing your future child is growing, especially unplanned. now your guy was being an insensitive prick, as (i assume) you never told him you would get an abortion for sure if the situation arose. All you had to say when he said he'd leave you is "well that wont stop me from forcing you to pay child support until it's 18." i think he'd much rather raise a kid with you than be at odds and still pay for half the expenses. tell him how what he said really did hurt and put doubt in your relationships future, see if that rocks him a bit.
IMO at 18 you would not enjoy having a kid. its expensive (unless you get a government grant which is completely possible in your position), and your vagina will never be the same. i have 2 friends who have had kids, one who had a c-section, and another who had a natural birth and let me tell you, cesarian is the way to go. even my friend with the C-section's nurse said she had 3 kids, the first naturally, and the next 3 were cesarian because the pain is just insanity. as is the damage.
MY ADVICE: exercise your freedoms and go to planned parenthood. if you catch it within 40 days you can get the series of pills rather than surgery. saves money and is way less expensive. do not wait if you are doubting your decision because the longer you wait, the more painful to your body and wallet it will be. I was lucky with the girl i was with because she was doubting it like you, but she chose to have an easier future and wait for a planned baby. good luck.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
So I found out I’m 6 weeks in, and I'm booked in for an abortion on the 9th. I've made my decision and I'm going through with it. My boyfriend has finally woken up to his senses, and is being very supportive. I have spoken to a lot of people, and looked at it in depth, and there is almost no chance of me having troubles with pregnancy later in my life. I don’t believe an abortion is murder (and thank you Chichi for putting the definition in there, and also about 33% of abortions are Christian girls), and there is no way I could bring a baby into this world with where I am at now. I don’t have enough money as my boyfriend and I are struggling as it is, and I don’t have family support to help me so please keep opinions about how it is murder etc away, this is already hard enough. I won’t regret it, because I know it was the right choice for both myself, and my boyfriend. I have been on the pill for two years and have followed it religiously, obviously I just fell into that 1%. I know 18 isn’t too young to have a baby, my mom had my sister when she was 19, but I'm not like her. I feel that I am too young, maybe even too selfish right now, to have one. This is my choice. I know I might regret it for a few weeks, but truly I will get over it. I just need advice on the abortion, not whether it is right or wrong.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
About the 33% of girls who get abortions are christian... that reminds me of an article (or it could have been a website) where religous girls and their parents would talk about the abortions they had, these where people who would march with the signs and harass people over abortion. To a one they all said that their daughters abortions where the exception rather than the rule, that it was a good thing not to ruin their kids life with an unwanted child but still believed abortion should be outlawed in all cases.
Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. The best part is that most of those signs they hold are stillborns and miscarriages because showing a real abortion the fetus wouldn't be human looking enough.
To the op... good job, it's your decision and your decision alone. When the man can take over the baby birthing process and give birth for you, that's when he'll be 50/50 with you on the decision making. But I have to say your boyfriend is probably still an ass who changed his mind because now he knows you're for sure getting an abortion and dosen't have to worry anymore.

To tell you the truth, I can compare a 65-year-old brain dead man to a zygote. They both have no thought. No feelings. No nothing. I would have no problem pulling the plug on a braindead old man. He's nothing in the world.
A zygote is also nothing. A fertilized egg. You know what I do with eggs? I eat them for breakfast.

Re: So Im Pregnant...
Ok, thats enough.
OP, ask those who care for you (bf/friends) to keep an eye on you afterwards. Whether you think abortion right or wrong , it doesn't change facts. And the possibility of depression/psychosis after an abortion (same as after birth or miscarriage) is a fact. Don't believe the fem-nazi myths.
If things don't return to 'normal' fairly quickly then don't put off going to see a doctor and don't just chalk it up to just feeling 'blue'.
