Basically I suffer from insomnia and many things work like benzoes, alcohol, and weed. I also tried many over the counter insomnia cures with little success. I have been to a doctor a few times about it, and she gave me benzoes, which worked but she took me off them saying Im too young and they cause dependence. So now I self medicate with weed, I beleive that this THE best way for me to sleep as it causes no side effects and Im asleep within minutes. What I was wondering is would it even be possible for me to get medicinal pot for this very reason?
Where would I have to go? How does it work? I get a license and buy weed wherever and not get hassled by the cops because I have a card? Or can I go to designated places to get dank buds for low $?

My guess is that no doctor will give you a prescription for weed because you have to be 19 to smoke. While weed doesn't have to be smoked I can still see a doctor not prescribing it to anyone under the legal smoking age. My suggestion would be to tell your doctor what you're doing and get her opinion on it. Living in Ontario chances are she'll give you honest info and not some 'OMG stop smokin dru6Z04z b4 ya DIE' bullshit.

Most doctors are probably a bit apprehensive in regards to prescribing marijuana to begin with, and being a minor you're probably fucked.

Check out their 'list of ailments' and you'll find 'Persistent Insomnia 307.42' so they definitely would cater to you if your doctor was on board.

Im not sure about Canada, but here in California the whole medical marijuana thing is a crock of shit. No legitimate doctor will prescribe weed, and all the ones who do are complete quacks.

They operate small one man practices that dont accept any insurance, and typically charge about $100 for a consult. You go in, pay in cash and give them any bullshit excuse you can think of (some teenagers are prescribed pot for arthritis) and he writes you a prescription without doing any kind of tests or considering other treatments. The whole meeting is typically about 15 minutes.

Then you turn your prescription in to the state and they issue you a card thats valid for one year (i think). then you take the card to your local pot club where you can buy upto a half pound a day at a little above black market prices.

EDIT: Thats not to say that there arnt some people who do really need and are helped greatly by medicical marijuana. But the vast majority of people i've ever met with a card obtained it in this manner.

Well if I can't get it at designated places thats really useless to me, seeing as how cops dont hassle you for weed here. And having a card saying I can smoke is a waste of my time. The only reason I really wanted it is to get it for cheaper and have better quality.

Yea just learn to grow. I would recomend looking up the 7 part grow video from high times on youtube. Growing is the one of the most fun things I have even done.

ever here of buying it from say , a drug dealer? seriously though i find that smoking schwag makes me a lot more drowsy and more sedating effect where as the exotic tends to be more on the stimulating side ( at least for me) however both give me a deeper sleep.
