How can I be that stand up guy?
I want to be that guy that steps in and picks that girl up from a quasi shitty situation and is happy.
Possible or not?

What? You want to live out some retarded hero fantasy or you actually know a girl in trouble?

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
Yea I used to think something similar. Yes up until I realized girls aren't looking to be saved for the most part, at least the ones I know. Girls want to think that they can get by on their own power and don't need a guy. This might only apply to self respecting girls though. My ex didn't even let me buy her stuff, it was great.

If you rescue a damsel in distress, you're only going to end up with a distressed damsel.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
Quasi shitty? So there are good and bad elements to the situation? It's hard to give you any sort of advice when you're so fucking vague.
Stay out of other people's shit. That's all I can say until you give some more details.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
Women don't actually appreciate that shit.
Be yourself, if you are faced with a situation, be a man. Otherwise, don't go looking for damaged girls.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
Yeah, captain save a hoe, I think your approach should be of the "I'm a strong, confident....yet genuine guy who is sensitive and has feelings" there is your formula for success with these types of vaginal diseases.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
I've carried heavy shit, sat in waiting rooms, argued with landlords, fought ex boyfriends and drug dealers both barehanded and with weapons. I've used a tourniquet to stop my own bleeding. I've gone 48 hours without sleep making sure she didn't kill herself. I've played the saviour on so many occasions it's just plain retarded.
In all the times I've come to the rescue, I have gotten, because of it, laid once. Even that turned out badly. She was an emotional fucking train wreck. Remember that something caused the problem you're dealing with. Odds are it's the girl in question. Sometimes the shit sticks to you.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
If you're doing it to get laid...don't, there are much easier ways to get a root. If you're doing it because you genuinely care for the girl, then do what needs to be done but just remember you might just be seeing the tip of the iceberg and not know what you're getting yourself into.
I've been with enough emotional wrecks in my time to talk with some authority on the subject. If I had my time again, I'd probably do it all over because I really did have some meaningful relationships with the girls but it can seriously SERIOUSLY get you low low low to take on other peoples problems...especially since some of these girls aren't emotionally equipped enough to take as much as they give, which means you really cop the world on your shoulders.
Go in with caution, but be careful about getting too close before you know the full extent of what you're taking on...and as I said before, if it's just for a root, try another girl...it won't be worth it.

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
See the problem is that the girls see right through your charade of pretending to care so you can get laid. Why not make them aware of your intentions outright and save yourself the trouble?

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
I've done that too often, 90% of the girls like that are just emotional vampires who will cast themselves in the next hole they find once they get out of the one they were in as they crave pity.
But occasionally you find a gem

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
I'll step in and be the knight in shining armor if it's to change a flat tire, get a car started in the winter, help carry some groceries, give a ride, etc... However, when it comes to emotional issues, you can't take that kind of shit on your shoulders. You can't fix people, they can only fix themselves. You can help someone develop the tools to solve their own problems, but you can't fix the problem yourself. I've counseled lots of women through their problems, but I don't solve their problems for them. The stand up guy only picks them up, dusts them off, and says," good luck"

Re: How can I be that stand up guy?
Girls are a pack of cunts. Even if you jump in and save her, she'll find a way to make you out as the bad guy.
I remember once when my best mate who's as close as my family said my girlfriend's dress was shaped like a bag to her face. I laughed, he laughed, she called my friend's girlfriend a fat wog which came out of no where and was uncalled for. They verbally abused each other as I stood back and laughed. She's an adult and can fend for her self, he's an adult, they both should have had more respect for me than to fight, so I felt justified not getting in the middle. Any way, she got so nasty I stepped in and later I got given a blasting for not 'knocking my friend out' because that's what 'any good guy would have done'.
Then another situation some random cunts say/touch/do something to her and I'll say "wait here" and go over and confront them, then get bagged by her for being aggressive. Or she'll mock me saying 'oooh mr tough guy, so scary'.
Another situation where I suspected some guy grabbed her ass at a club because she jumped a mile as he walked past. I asked her, she said no. I didn't believe her so I walked up to him and started him. All my mates said he didn't, she kept saying he didn't, so I let it go. Later on she said he DID touch her and it's 'not like I tried to do anything any way'.
Or a few weeks back some guy, completely covered in black and wearing shredded clothes (polisher), gets out of a bomb car at a bus stop and tells a girl to get in his car, she refuses and starts to look really scared and he starts getting aggressive. He keeps telling her to get into his car. I step in and help, afterwards I ask her if she's okay and she gives me a weird look and not even a thanks.
Like I said, women are a pack of stupid cunts. Don't step in and you're a pussy. Step in and you're just a testosterone controlled, typically aggressive man.
YOU PACK OF CUNTS.

maybe the sight of you(long blond hair, skinny etc) isn't real intimidating to most people, your girl included. It's a nice gesture and I'm sure she appreciates it and all that, but you have to know she's laughing inside.

:( Hmmm, I guess you're kind of right. But I know I'm skinny, so I make up for this by either smashing a bottle on you, or smashing a bottle then stabbing or slashing you with it. Where there's fights, there's always a bottle. Just a month ago I glassed a guy, I also kicked a man into a fireplace. Maybe if I fought fair this would be a different story, but I don't and I back up my word and she knew I'd stand up and protect her. So...no, that's not it.
Classy women just don't like it when guys get aggressive..
