What do you think is a suitable age to lose your virginity?

Wondering Because alot of people in my classes at school are constantly talking about having sex and who they lost their virginity to.

Just wondering what the suitable age is or you should have sex when your ready and with some-one you really love, not just a one-night-stand.

When I was 14 I lost my virginity to an amazing guy. We both cared about each other and knew exactly what we were doing, and I have no regrets. However many of my friends at that age were far, far too immature to be having sex, and in retrospect admit that they should have waited. I honestly don't think virginity is that special and being a virgin does not make you "pure" or whatever. But you should wait until you find someone you trust who really cares about you and will be there the next day.

Well, a lot of people at my school lose it around 16-17. I'm a year younger. I don't think it's very constructive to lose your virginity in your teen years, though. To see all of my "popular" female classmates and the "jocks" just running around screwing like rabbits really isn't something that appeals to me.
