Pod tea in the coffee pot
Does anyone know any reason this would be less efficient? I've been doing it on the stove and then straining, but straining is always such a bitch and shit still gets through.
Is it just as strong in the coffee pot?

Re: Pod tea in the coffee pot
I had an old coffee pot I used to do this in. Grind the pods and put them in a coffe filter like you would the grounds than brew it. Than dump the tea into the water section and brew a second time. I had to stop it because my pot got clogged up so you might want to run through with water and no coffee or pods after everytime you use it.

Re: Pod tea in the coffee pot
Post your results. Also, type of pod & price/pod. Looking into such things, any data you can provide would be nice.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Re: Pod tea in the coffee pot
I just did it the way I always do...on a burner. Straining sucks. No strainer is small enough to not let all that sand in. You have to just drink it and bear it and have a chaser on hand. I gag every time. I wish I just had some fucking OCs.
I found a guy on craigs list with a fucking shit ton. Ive never seen the stash but Ive been buying by the hundreds for months now. I usually get 60-80 for $45-$55.
If I spend $100 or more he'll usually give me 200+ of the fuckers.

Hmm...the notion of an extraction's gone around a few times, never to any avail. SWIM might just pioneer one. The tea just sounds like some bad sh!t.

Don't we all...

Craig's list eh? I've looked on ebay with similar results. What type of pod gives best results/$? Anything one needs to look out for when shopping?

Im no pod expert, I don't know how to tell strengths of pods without ingesting it first, but mine are whitish/a little brownish and I always get hit pretty hard by them.
When you're buying them, just make sure they're the right kind and make sure it doesn't smell bad. And when you're making the tea and you break open the pod to get the seeds out put your nose inside the pod and smell it and look at it. If it smells bad or it literally smells like dirt, throw it the fuck out.
And Im sure you know this(I hope you do): Start out small because you can never know the exact dosage of a pod.

Awsome.

Definately. I've held this opinion about most ingestables and it's never lead me wrong.
EDIT: Oh, one last thing. Are pods a relatively cost effective source of goodies or is it a lot cheaper to get some nasty street ope (or H)?
