My Situation -
This will probably be lengthy, but bare with me.
I met a friend over on a different island than mine and hungout with her and some other friends for a while, and we got to talking just about random stuff online. She had moved from AZ a few years back and had a friend there, and went into great detail about her and how amazing she was. Eventually she told me to add her to myspace (yes I'm a whore for having it) So I did naturally because interesting people are well..interesting. We got to talking for quite a while and eventually worked it up towards phone calls. I still hadn't seen a picture of her but I was getting excited regardless because she is by far the sweetest girl I've ever met. She also is incredible innocent, never has gotten kissed before basically, thinks sex is dirty, is a mormon with many different political views than I do. I never really thought about this much before but it's an issue now. Her parents are strict and what not because I could easily be a rapist, but I'm not, and that isn't the problem. We only get around 10 minutes to talk a day and we're basically in a relationship, but with it being a long distance one when I haven't even met her before it's hard, I want someone to actually hold and I can connect more with.
On Halloween I was going over to the other island to spend the night with a group of friends and basically party, with no alcohol or anything like that just a good time with some buddies. I've liked another girl there that I met a while back for some time, but that night is when we really connected. We ended up holding hands but not doing much else but I felt something. At the moment we talk daily and have long deep conversations with each other, and I love it.
They're both attractive, I'm pretty sure judging by how the first girl's pictures are but you never know. She's the nicest and most caring girl I know and I'm her first love, and it's deep. But with her being so far away, having never even seen her before and our differences I'm slipping, we're in the I love you phase which may be a little far but..despite our differences we think that it'll be ok, but I'm partially lying. The other girl is perfect in every way..I've actually been able to hold her, she's sweet and likes everything about me, has amazingly similar interests and could open up my world physically.
My problem is, if I were to break up with my current girlfriend and get with a girl that I think things could go with, 1: she would become so incredibly depressed that I don't want to think about it. 2: her best friend whom I met her through would break my knees in and I would generally be hated by many many people. And 3: It's a douche move, but at least I'm being considerate.
I'm a nice guy, with a conscience and feelings, but I've dug myself into a hole that has only two exits, be selfish for a change and go for what I want, or stay with the present. And frankly I'm completely at a loss. Any imput would be interesting, this is partially a rant and partially a call for help.

I can't break up with my current long distance-have never seen before girlfriend because of possible heartbreak and probable knee cap injuries. But I'm falling for another girl that's here and I actually connect very well with.

Re: My Situation -
People hassle you for the most idiotic reasons. They will hassle you if you dump this girl, which you should, but of course they believe that you should always "Follow your heart" and "stay true to yourself." Like in Disney movies (which is probably appropriate for your age group).
So feed them some of that bs, while you go pork this chick. Just don't delude yourself that she's perfect man, I'm sorry to tell you that no one is (not even me).
Yeah, you're going to hurt this girl, but that's what happens, trust me. Everyone gets hurt at some point in relationships. It makes you resiliant, and she'll learn not to get too attached to people she's never met.
It is not a douche move. Seriously man. If you don't think there's anything wrong with it (and I don't see how there is) then all you have to do is justify it to your friends/whoever. Spew some shit about doing it because you didn't want to hurt the girl and you didn't want to lie to her. Which is true, right? (hint hint). Make it seem like you're in the right and they will believe you.

Re: My Situation -
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixed & engraved mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand'ring bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.If this be error and upon me proved,I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

I've seen a lot of her by now, it was the first month and all but we were together at that point. The Mormon part I could care less about..But the situation right now is she's completely heartbroken but I'm at least here for her..but I'm hurting as well.
