Dreaming of Peyote...
I have been dwelling on the drug for quite some while.
I have done mushrooms about three times, acid once.
I use once in awhile, but not enough to be habitual.
Why I'm posting this is because I'm curious to as what peyote is like.
The trip, how long it takes, etc.
The things I'm curious about most is, can a person function properly around others?
If someone happens to confront me, will I be able to deal with them and pull it off as still being sane?
I'd rather have people tell me about it than just give me links to websites, that's just too easy.
I'm 21, 5'11" and I weigh 117 pounds.
Thanks.

Re: Dreaming of Peyote...
Nah man you definitely don't want to be around other people. When I did mescaline I tripped almost 2 days straight, but I was on acid too. That wore off long before the mescaline did though. Don't even think about doing it if your not going to have somehwere to be where you can take it easy and chill for a good day.

That's what I was thinking would be the case.
Well, I'll have to do some careful planning now.
Thank you!

Why don't you use bold font?
Is it like a taboo or something here?
Thanks for the link, though.
Although I've already went there.
Read it all and what not.

No it just looks like you're trying to draw unnecessary attention to yourself. And if you read "it all" I doubt you'd be here asking these questions.

Your response doesn't suprise me.
Nor could I care less.
I'll stop using bold, that way it will further negate meaningless questions and uncalled for comments.
I already read about it on Erowid before posting this.
And no, I didn't read every single article word for word.
I read what I wanted to know.
That wasn't the point, anyways.
I wanted to question someone about it first hand.
That way I could interact.
Is that better or is there anything else you want to point out?
Should I explain more?

Re: Dreaming of Peyote...
That's better. What would you like to know?
I digg the response.
Well, I was just curious how easy it would be to interact with others who are sober.
I was thinking about gathering a bunch of art supplies and all sorts of artsy crap in my room and taking peyote one night.
But I would rather wait for a better time if I can't talk to relatives/others and pass as "normal".
Is it a good drug to do around other people?
And what are some of the first hand experiences that you have had while on it?
All the shit I see on tv about people taking peyote makes me question it.
I know it's not how they portray but when you see people smoking pot in movies they usually act like that in real life.
Now in the few movies (comedies) I have seen where people are on peyote they just sit there motionless.
I just want a realistic experience to base my interests on, that's all.
I know I should just read erowid, but I would rather have a conversation about it instead.
It's like cyber-drug-foreplay.

Obviously that is going to depend on dosage taken.

It's not very easy or fun to interact with other people while your on it, unless of course the person you're talking to is on it too. When I did it I was at a festival and I sat out on this rock peninsula type thing that jutted out into this crystal clear freshwater spring lake and watched the sunrise with some good people and close friends. It was great. It took forever to finally come down off of it and even after I got home and took a long nap, when I woke up I still felt spaced out and it felt like I'd just gotten home from a long journey and I was overwhelmed with knowledge and beauty and life and happiness but at the same time I felt a little empty, like I had opened up so many doors in my head and I wanted to explore every single one at that second but I couldn't. I don't know man it's just something you have to experience for yourself and it's different for everyone but my advice is to set aside a good amount of time for yourself and invite a friend to do it with you and find a good friendly tripping environment and just explore the world of mescaline. Have fun.

Thanks, man.
That sounds like my kind of self-medication.
See, I really want to do what you did, that's perfect.
I live in the mountains so the landscape is optimal for such a thing.
The problem, the weather is getting cold and all my friends who would do it/appreciate it as much as I would arn't here anymore.
I'll figure everything out.
Thank you for the input and experience, I really appreciate it!
