ive been debating if should get a prescriptin to adderal. the only thing preventing me from doing is the fear of complete dependence.

here are my thoughts: im a fairly bright senior in high school, but ive noticed that my mind tends to wander quite a lot after about 10 minutes of listening to a lecture. i recently took an adderal before school and notice a HUGE improvement. i was able to concentrate on a boring topic for an entire 2 hours, and it was almost enjoyable.

i plan on going to medical school after college, so i figured i should get every advantage i can while in college to improve my chances of acceptance. i know adderal would help a shit ton in paying attention and doing well in college courses that i find boring. i wouldnt use it recreationally, and i would only use it when needed, such as during a test, long lecture, or if i was too tired, etc.

all of this having been said, do you guys think it would be wise to try to get a script? i think i can handle it without becoming completely dependent, im just looking for what totse's opinion is on the matter, not necessarily just applying to me, but legit adderal use in general

You don't wana use that shit everyday...my sister recently got a script, turned her into a total bitch.

Just use it everyone once in a while when you need to study, pass a test, are in the mood to get fucked on in.

You should talk to a legitimate doctor about your health concerns. Are you able to concentrate on topics you find interesting? if so, then you probably don't need it, and should just take more interesting courses.

As for dependence, you dont have anything to worry about so long as you take it only as prescribed.

My opinion? I think Adderall is one of those drugs that almost everyone in college would benefit from, but i dont think that everyone should be on it. Only if you actually cant concentrate on things that you want to concentrate on (like lectures about topics that fascinate you), otherwise you're just using the drug to replace motivation.

my god this is true, I get horribly unmotivated to study for tests when I don't take adderall (fuckin gen ed classes).

To the OP, if you think you can have the prescription without using it everyday to get stuff done then go for it, you can probably make a bit of cash on the side too. Adderall is a good thing to have around, but remember to use it in moderation.
