How do I go about starting a conversation with a girl. That I have nothing in common with. When I say "what sup" the reply is usually "not much" sometimes followed by and "you?". The conversation usually does not go beyond that point. I am all logic no emotions. It's hard to talk to a girl beyond my interest. Which is technology, philosophy and so forth. depends where she is at. If she has stuff around her ask her about it, if shes studying, on her computer(take a peak and see what shes looking at)...only way to do it if you know nothing about her. Unless theres some other event going on that you kno she would be involved in.

If those are your interests that is what you are more likley to talk about. But the key is to listen to her when she talks about hers. Me and my husband are completly different. He is the logical type, loves playling shooter games and reads books on scientific theories. I on the other hand, listen to metal, drink beer, and watch horror movies. We don't have a lot in common but we listen to each other. That should be what you are looking for. Also be willing to do things that you don't want to do to make the other one happy. That, in my opinion, is the key to finding and keeping a relationship.

Ask her about what she's doing at the moment and if it's something you are genuinely interested in there shouldn't be a problem. If it's not, move along, there's nothing there for you anyways.

TO explain further: Don't ask a question you know what the answer will be. Ask a question that she will have a unique answer for that you can expand on with further conversation. "Whatsup" will always (or usually) come with a reply of "not much" or something similar. Ask a question that will give you a conversation starter as an answer.

Just let it flow, The conversation must not be forced. Seriously, its gonna take a few tries of making an ass of yourself. But you will get better at it
