hey seems to me that all or most all enjoyable ie euphoric, uppers/downers, rc's, but maybe not acid, if used longer term down or upregulate brain receptors.

meaning you end up depressed, insane.

our brains just seem to have this homeostatic thing going on whereby it says to you hey fuck face i dont like you being happy so just gonna rein in that receptor there so you're a miserable cunt again.

so why o' why do we go around chasing the impossible, to be happy, when our brains just want us to be how our genetics pre-determine us. its a losing battle. it sucks really unless you're lucky and you come with a happy brain out of the box.

why don't you smoke some pot? it doesn't give you any brain damage. It just stays in your system for a while because it has a long half life and can make you lazy/tired. As long as you don't smoke it 24/7 you won't be lazy/tired 24/7.

actually, the OP does have an interesting point that is relevant to me. after quitting my favorite drugs i have become rather depressed. will this pass with time? any way of fixing it?

i try to stick to drugs are that more or less safe. pot(minus the tar build up), lsd, pure shroom magic, and the sort. i dabble in weak opiates too. they make me feel nice because i'm not a hopeless opiate addict, so fuck what you guys think. i think theyre about the worst thing i put in my body even after cwe. that and the occasional beer, but thats probably not that bad either.

Good luck finding a substance that has rec value and doesnt fuck with your brain because that's how drugs work in the first place...
