Anyone know what the deal is on the Pharmacies down there in regards to selling OTC codeine and Hyrdocodone? Erowid says codiene can sometimes be bought and there are "reports" of Vicodin too.

It is technically illegal, but there are many crooked pharmacies that will sell it to you anyway.

These are almost exclusively in areas with a lot of tourists. if you're in TJ for example, there are tons of crooked pharmacies that will sell you anything from valium to OC.

However, if you're in a less touristy part of mexico and ask for them in a pharmacy (like i did) they wont sell you anything without a prescription, even in you offer to pay extra.
