Default So yeah... finally broke up..

Well, i don't even know why I'm posting this, but my g/f of 3 years and I, broke up a couple of days ago... And i don't know what to think.

It was mutual... sort of, its hard to explain... suffice to say that she ended up telling me that she still loves me, always will, but that we need time apart... now i agree, the only thing is, i know shes lying to me... why do girls always have to do that? Seriously, why?
Does she think that if she tells me she still loves me and tells me that theres still a high probability of us ending up back together in a few months when we both get our shit together that it's gonna be easier on me? Also i know its a lie.. I felt it when she kissed me goodbye when we broke up... There wasn't any love there at all.. there wasnt even an attraction anymore. So why the fuck string me along?

She wants to stay friends, best friends apparently but theres absolutely no way of that happening.. i mean, i told her the other day... that the only way this is gonna end without me hating her, is if she doesn't exist for me for a good year or two, how can someone be expected to up and be "just friends" after 3 years of being so much more?

I mean... there was no warning.. just at the beggining of the month, we rented a hotel room together and shit, had an all night fuck session, and couldnt get enough of the other for the whole week after... and all of a sudden its over... How the hell am i sposed to process this? I don't know if i should laugh? Cry? Molotov everything?

Now im just left feeling completely and utterly betrayed, and lonely... she tells me there isn't anyone else.. but thats the only explanation i can think of for such a sudden twist.. I mean... a month ago she was the one worrying about me getting fed up at her antics... and boom... we're broken up... and it had almost nothing to do with me.

So totse... i dont know what kinda advice im lookin for here... i guess.. whats the easiest way to put yourself "on the market" so to speak... it's been three years of just this girl... its been as serious as they come, talking about plans to be married.. hell even what we were gonna name our kids when/if we had them... And now... im stuck here, trying to get my "game" back or whatever the fuck you want to call it, and i have no clue what im doing...

I mean, i dont know if i should be happy that this relationship is over.. or if its the saddest time ive had in years... I'm just way too confused right now...

So comments? Advice? Whatever?

Either way... felt good to get this off my chest...

This would be eating me up inside if I were you.

Any way, you seem pretty tough. Just start building new relationships. Try to go out as often as you can, with as many different people as you can.

Mhmm. Last month I broke up with my gf of four years. Although it was mostly my idea, it still felt strange in the beginning.

Your next move would probably be to get horny. Go be a horny fuck and get with some hot slut. This will remind you that there are many, many, many good looking girls out there, and it will inspire you to move on and realize that everything is fine, and really, you should be appreciative of your new-found freedom.

I'm not saying go be a dirtball and pick up an STD, I'm just saying, don't forget to look at the positive aspects of being a single man again. There are many men out there who are in relationships that would kill to be single again.

I, for one, am loving the single life. I was in a relationship for four years, and I feel like a new man after moving on from that. Just acknowledge what the last three years have been to you, and then look forward. It's all you can do.

Lol no, it isn't eating me up inside actually, I recognize that when a relationship ends, i have no control of what the other person does.. what she does or who if that is indeed the case, is up to her, and there's no sense worrying about it.

Anyway, thanks for the advice man :)

And you too drifter, its good advice, but I'm not the type of guy to solve his problems by making more lol. Eventually im gonna get myself out there and really be who i was before this relationship... It's amazing, 3 years ago, i was the one being chased after by girls... Now... i have no clue how to get that again.. aha. I'm not worried about getting laid... At all, im a decent to above average looking guy, with a great personality and i can not give a shit on a moments notice... so it works out, its just... the whole getting on the wagon part... or off it... that saying always confused me.

Hell i actually dont know what im asking for advice on anymore... Thats gotta suck eh?

Doesn't it eat you up inside? To be well aware of the fact that your girlfriend could have another guy's cock inside her at this very moment? Enjoying him? Wondering how the FUCK she could have ever stuck with a nothing like you? Getting railed into oblivion and complete ecstacy by a 12 inch dick, attached to some stud that out classes you in every aspect. Her gratefully sucking him dry, loving his cum on her face? Being so much happier than she was with YOU.

Think of that. Then say it doesn't eat you up inside. Mutual? Yea right. You don't accept anything and your baby's getting RAILED and loving every second. :D

In the exact same boat. Broke up about a month ago. Felt like shit since. Been out on a couple of dates but the girls just arent as nice as my ex. Miss her like crazy but the hardest thing is ive tried speaking to her but shes "got so much to deal with" (fair enough i shant go into it). So i dont know if well get back together or shes just trying to let me down softly.

So anyway, my advice, dunno. Do what feels best but go out often with mates, helps you forget!

K then. Not all of us are that insecure that they can't deal with the realities of life, I choose not to dwell on that fact, as in, if she does indeed have a massive cock that you describe inside her, that's her choice, everyone deals with break ups differently. But just because she may be with another man, doesn't mean my whole life is gonna come crashing down.

Oh and to Cymru: Ehh i don't think im gonna start dating so soon lol... 3 years is a long time, i think im just gonna take some time for myself lol.

You're not getting back with her any time soon. Maybe in like ten years when you both haven't found anyone and you're ready to settle for less. Her saying she still loves is you is complete bullshit, if she did you'd still be together.

I exile myself from all my ex girlfriends if the relationship was significant. It makes it a lot easier. You don't have to hate her, but you can just tell her you need time apart to get yourself together. Then you delete her number, email, whatever. It really helped me move on anyway.

My consolations.

What this person suggests is probably you're best option. Cut all contact. It will be the most difficult, however effective way of moving on.

I'm sorry man, I hope you get well soon. I have no idea what you must be going through, even if you haven't felt anything. I know that if the people I love were torn away from me, I'd probably go crazy.
