I'm starting to think that I might be gay. I am 21 and I have never had a girlfriend and girls generally show no interest in me. I am by no means an ugly person, obviously not a 10/10, but guys who are definitely uglier than me can get girls pretty easily. I am pretty sociable and can easily hold a conversation, flirt, etc. It's not like a I am some guy who lives in his computer cave all day.

Anyway, I feel like I have gay pheromones or something, and girls subconsciously know I am gay and that's why they always just want to be friends. So I am wondering if one knows when they are gay, or if it is just a sneaking suspicion that slowly creeps up on you?

This thread is stupid. A person knows they're gay/bi if they're attracted to members of the same sex, and are accepting of these feelings. I have never understood the 'logic' of: "I fail with girls, does that mean I'm gay?" ... No, it just means you fail with girls. Being gay is another thing entirely.

I would say that most gay men are more charming than your typical belching straight guy. It's quite simple. You've probably had a couple crushes in your life. If those were all women, you're probably heterosexual, if those were all men, you're gay, if some were men and some were woman, you're bisexual.

Being straight or gay is about how you feel, not about who likes you or what you look like or smell like or what sex you think looks the hottest or wether or not you could actually get a boner while looking at a guy or fuck a guy or have a guy fuck you. I think that I'm somehow like the OP. I just turned 21 and never had a serious girlfriend.
I'm not gay. I really would like to have a girlfriend but some people I meet think of me as gay. Maybe because I'm quite fashionable, vain and skinny.
It's kind of hard to be in this position when I'm with my family. Most of them take pride in getting laid, having many girlfriends at the same time etc. Some women in my family get pregnant while still in high school etc. While I'm having a hard time getting a girlfriend.
I can say that I really lack confidence. Especially when asking women to date.
The way I feel this way is because when I look at women I seem to think that they don't like me at all except for being friends. It is like I'm just another ordinary guy in their lives. For example when I meet a new pretty girl that I like she just like say "hi" and that's it. I feel that I'm not really a nice guy type. Some women think I'm an arrogant and snob. I mean a girl never told me that she likes me. However, some girls see me as nice and kind that's why I'm their friend.
Well, its either I'm a shy type guy or a narcissistic, full of himself type. But either way, I still fail at getting women.

I guess it's true, I have no confidence, and have never made a move on any girl. Like some other guy said I always feel like the girl I am talking with just wants to be my friend, probably because that is how it has always gone in my life.

I have been with a girl before, although it was because she really did all the work for me, and was very blunt about things. She would just get drunk and then ask me to come fuck her. She was just using me though to make her ex-boyfriend jealous, and it worked after like 2 weeks of this.
