If a person prepared an oxycodone IV and decided he might want to use it another time, how long could said person store it in a dark place? Would the water degrade the medicine over a short period of time?

I've stored shots for a day before. They don't seem to last longer than that for some reason.

I don't think it would be hygienic to leave it sitting around because it's possible for bacteria to grow. I don't however think the drug will lose potency so I'd say go ahead and do it if hygiene isn't a concern.

Hygeine is a problem, but simply being in water wont degrade the oxy.
