Loss
So I am no longer speaking to my ex of an almost 3 year relationship... and it's quite difficult. I used to tell her everything that happened in my life, and she would do the same. Having this abruptly disappear from my daily experience has left me with a large emotional void that I can't seem to get away from for more than 5 minutes at a time...
Surely we've all felt this, but how do you go about moving on without them, as they are your love and best friend? I know time heals all things... But any experiences/advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Loss
I'm in the same situation. Don't look at the good things about her, look at the bad things. It helps.
Also, go find some whores.

Re: Loss
Don't spend time trying to justify everything to yourself, and especially do not blame her, or yourself for what happend.
Go out with friends, have a laugh, go abroad; do things you enjoy with people you enjoy being with.
And then finally, find a girl to fill the hole in your heart / life.

Re: Loss
I am in a similar situation; a month or so ago I broke up with gf of 4 years. I didn't find it that difficult, seeings as it was me that broke it off.
To help out, she lost it on me for something stupid over the phone shortly after, and that made me feel better knowing that I don't have to deal with it anymore.
So basically, just focus on moving on and highlight the positive aspects of being completely free again.

This is my situation only my relationship was just 2 years. I didn't find it appallingly hard to bounce back, but thats because there was no lost love between us. Just a need to move on and experience different things, though I don't think he feels quite the same right now.
I am currently enjoying freedom and all of it's associated benefits to the fullest.
Pretty much I have no good advice for you. Go out and get drunk and flirt with girls.

Re: Loss
Get really, really stoned with your buddies and find some random hot chicks. You'll forget all about it...

Re: Loss
Try and keep good friends around you. Too many people lose track of that when they get a significant other.

True dat. When I went out with my last boyfriend of a year, I lost touch with so many of my close friends, for which I regret now. But after we broke up, things were really hard and it helped so much to have my best friends there to tell me how better I was without him. And eventually, I realized they were right.
Obviously things weren't working out, but after a while, you will find someone who you are more compatible with, and the feelings you had with that previous relationship will come back, but ten times better. It happened with me. I thought I lost my best friend, but it turned out that someone a million times better found me, and I am forever grateful that the other relationship did not go on any longer.

You know they only told you that so you'd spend more time with them and not get back together with him...
Greedy fucks.

Re: Loss
Anger and Hate. Unabashed, seeting hate. Think about how they fucked you over. Have as many meaningless, NSA sexual encounters as you can. Completely destroy the other persons life and reputation.
Mainly though, just mentally realize how badlythey were to you, and how better off you are now.
