Coming off 'The Pill'
About 6 Weeks ago, I stopped taking my birth control pills. I kept forgetting to take them and I didn't want to mess with it, and prior to this I had regular monthly, heavy periods. (I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place, obviously it can be moved.)
Being 6 weeks off of the pill.. within the past SIX weeks I've had a very light, 2 day period that threw me off. I was WISHFULLY hoping I wasn't pregnant, and I'm not and if I was I'm not now. ( Not a big concern for me. ) Two weeks later, I had a light three day period. Two weeks after this, which is NOW.... I'm having the heaviest period I've ever had in a long time. I'm drained. My head hurts, I feel dizzy. I suppose this would be more of a reason to go back ON birth control, but I'm not messin with that junk anymore. I don't really need it. I have normal periods, and men can wear rain coats.
Regardless, I'm going to schedule an appointment with my OBGYN, and find out what's up. I'm just slightly concerned about what's up RIGHT NOW! Ya feel me? Yeah, so.. if you ladies could give your input from personal experiences, that would be great!
It can't be premenopause or whatever.. I'm 20.. goin on 21 next month.. MUCH too young to be experiencing that!

What do you expect ,girl? You fuck with your god given body and his ordained cycle for women and what do you think will happen when you come off??!
If you'd been doing heroin you'd expect to cluck, right? Well your body just needs time to get used to being female again.

Re: Coming off 'The Pill'
^^^ Agree.
Birth control takes TOTAL control of your cycle. It's going to mess with alot of things and change them. You need to give your body a chance to get back to normal. It's just healing itself in it's own way.

Re: Coming off 'The Pill'
Just incase you don't know, coming off the pill can also cause mental/emotional problems (probably hormone based). Anything that fucks with a woman's cycle-like pregnancy- can trigger anything from a mild neurosis through to clinic depression.
If you notice or people tell you that you are mood swinging badly or are real weepy then don't just think you'll get over it, go to a doctor asap.
Its RARE but it happens.
