So, I was listening to the radio today(105.3 FM to be specific - a San Fran. bay area station) and this commercial comes on talking about how cannabis is much safer than alcohol. The usual facts were quoted such as there has not been an overdose on cannabis but there are thousands each year from alcohol. I thought it was an interesting break from the usual "above the influence" non-sense. I wonder who paid for the ad, but I think it is a step in the right direction. Have any of you heard of this ad or a similar ad? Do you know who would pay for such an ad?

soundcheck is pretty badass....i use to listen to the bone all the time, but it gets old..i love classic rock, but i dont love hearing the same songs over and over and over, but little steven's underground garage is cool...you gotta love classic underground garage rock...and the woody show on live 105 is 100x better then lamont and tonelli too, they're just fucking stupid..Also its pretty badass to watch the webcam...you can listen to the station, and watch the Dj's and chat with them at the same time...i feel like i should be posting this in Rock n Roll

whiny ass shit with the killers playing 10 times an hour
the only time i'll tune in is for the morning show(much better than lamont and tonelli), or loveline.
even with its subpar treatment of local artists, i have to say that KMEL is the least crappy radio station out here

Loveline used to be awesome when Adam Corolla was on that shit. Hilarious. But yeah I hear ads like that all the time, sometimes the radio stations are just chill, or I don't know maybe NORML funds them or something.
