Default Sobering up

From my 80mg Vicodin adventure earlier, didn't vomit, but I didn't do the CWE extraction either. I took 8 7.5mg, meaning 8k APAP, and took 2 10mg with 1320mg of APAP. I know I got lucky with no liver damage, but I was thinking about finishing off my 10mgs, taking 60mg more tonight. I'd get 6600mg of APAP (can't do a CWE without parents noticing), think I'd be okay? I have them all laying out in front of me with my glass of milk ready to go. Is 16k gonna do any permanent damage?

8pillsx500mg(standard dose of apap in vicodin)=4000mg=4 grams if its norco it can have 325mgs of apap.
8pillsx750mg=6000mg=6grams
6pillsx750mg=4500mg=4.5 grams
atleast get your math right before you start just popping pills.
the most acetmenophen a healthy adult can take in a 24 hour period is 4 grams or 4000 mgs but it is not reccomended.
So are you asking if you can take 16 grams in a 24 hour Period? Even taking that much spaced over 2 days can cause liver damage.16 grams of acetamenophen could very well kill you or atleast your liver. And I am not sure what this unit of measurement "k" is.

Also you may not even notice any symptoms if you damged your liver. Keep it up and you may be needing a new liver.
Why would you take extra tylenol on top of the vicodins? It is not going to get you more high.

Why risk your liver? just wait until mommy and daddy goto bed and do the CWE. It is not like it is a complex synth or something. it is a simple 3-4 step procedure.

SAVE THE PILLS FOR LATER!

your liver is yours, and as far as you know this is the only time you are going to experience existance on the planet earth, nothing in your existance ever felt so alive as you have felt since birth, taking that much can put your existance on earth right now at this point in time in jeporedy (sp?), just think. what if this life is the only thing we have? you might end it all tonight! Don't do that.

Remember as far back as possible or try to remember a home movie of when you were two, and just think how smart and good you had to be to make it this far. If you take too much apap, throw up immediately, and if you still feel bad tomorrow morning or if you pass out, make sure someone gets you to a hospital. It's the only way you will survive for sure.

How many of you claiming liver damage as certainty actually know what you are talking about?

Individuals have differing levels of resistance to the toxic effects of APAP on the liver. Some could manage 16g of it in two days and not have permanent damage.

It's not a good idea, but you won't necessarily die right away, or have liver failure or even permanent damage. That said, you could die. I don't know all the variables. Weight, specific resistance, previous liver and general condition, etc.

This is in my experience, and I've seen people OD on APAP on purpose and by accident.

Hahaha, I used to do this exact same thing.

And to address the actual question, you should NOT have taken those. It's like, you ask a question, and you can't even wait for the answer, when the answer could save your liver/life, talk about fuckin' dumb. And not wanting mommy to find out? Taking too much of that shit and you'll probably end up in the hospital. So I have to say, was it really worth it to go ahead and risk death, compared to going ahead, doing a simple fucking CWE, not dying, and with a VERY small chance of anyone finding out?

He probably won't be answering for a while if at all.

Um, Vicodin is an opiate. And honestly, how would your parents have noticed a CWE? its WATER. Just put it in the back of the fridge or something.

Anything we say about this is moot, he's already taken it.

He either dies, and we never hear about it, or lives and doesn't post about it, or faked the whole thread, or, finally, he posts and tells us how sick he got.

He will get sick. Puke a lot, probably. Could die, depends on a lot.

But don't bother telling him he shouldn't have done it. He was stupid enough to do what he did, and that makes his ability to incorporate your advice suspect. Some people learn only from experience, and I suspect this will be quite a lesson.

(Disclaimer: If above post doesn't make sense, blame amps.)

sorry but there is no way to justify taking 16 grams of apap. If it is suggest that no more than 4 gram be consumed in one day I would follow that considering the bottle suggests something like no m,ore than 2 grams. Ultimately the persons body weight will tell you the safe doseage they can consume.

Why would you even risk this for vicodin? Just find something stronger.....hydrocodone is about equal in strength with morphine. Your junky ass may be able to handle something stronger.

What the fuck are you talking about? Get the math right man, you are wayy off

The max amount of acetametaphen of any hydrocodone mix is 750mg. If you took 8 7.5/750mg hydros, that equals 6000mgs of APAP + another 1320= 7320mg of APAP. For a single setting, thats dangerous, but not unheard of. And now you popped another 6 10mg hydros with 660mgs of APAP in each= 3960mgs of APAP. For your grand total of 11280mgs of acetametaphen.

Stay in school kid, math is your freind.

If it is suggest that no more than 4 gram be consumed in one day I would follow that considering the bottle suggests something like no m,ore than 2 grams. Ultimately the persons body weight will tell you the safe doseage they can consume.I'm not justifying it. Not once. Just pointing out that it won't necessarily kill you. I would never dose that much acetaminophen, but I've seen it not result in liver failure and/or imminent death, even up to an estimated 20g. Just horrible sickness. The guy was pretty big, but still. Weight isn't everything, either, because I remember an acquaintance's suicide attempt, wherein she took over 14g of APAP, a few temazepam, and a few shots; she lived, no liver failure (probably some temp. damage), and at a mere 115-125 pounds of weight. Clearly a lot also has to do with your previous liver condition (hers was probably pretty virginal), and also the specific toxicity of APAP to each individual, which could vary wildly about a fixed average.

I'm only pointing out that while it won't be a fun ride, and you might wish for death to escape it, 16g isn't an automatic, definite inducer of liver-failure, nor will it neccessarily harm it permanently. I know it could, everyone should, but lets not make this out to be arsenic, cyanide, or vapourized mercury. It's a very hit-and-miss suicide method, at best. Most of the time you just end up in a hospital, extremely sick, or wake up, not dead, but extremely sick, and with potential (and likely temp., livers regen. exceedingly well with good nutrition and overall health) liver damage, and realize (hopefully), that you took a fucked up dose of APAP and should avoid that in the future. It's a rare event (relative to more toxic agents), usually protracted (death comes slowly as a result of this chemical's acute toxicity), and tremendously painful, to die of APAP-induced liver failure or other possible overdose related damage. It can take a couple weeks, and some people don't even know something is terribly wrong with their livers for days (it keeps trying to regenerate, unless so damaged that its cells remain permeated with acetaminophen); suddenly and rapidly succumbing to the toxic effects on the liver even a week or more after initial time of overdose.

Even if he survives, he should check in with an MD. He could be sick without knowing it for a while, not feeling too bad, but organ-scorched on the inside.

But it's not intrinsically assumable that death will occur, nor probable that an individual will succumb to APAP toxicity at these kinds of mild-moderate dosages, barring other stressors and/or variables of course. A healthy, large liver, possessing DNA specifying enzymes maximizing resistance to APAP toxicity, in an otherwise fit and nutritionally secure body, could well pull through with no immediately apparent and/or severe damage, and little, if any, permanent loss of liver function or induction of long-term noticable symptoms at all. Not recommended, but not a death sentence as a naturally assumable/unavoidable proceeding course of events.

That said, upon rereading this thread, I hesitantly propose that the OP was/is trolling, knowing potential APAP poisoning (coupled with the chance to berate, lecture, and yell at an individual for his or her lack of prefonal cortex activity and general, debilitating insufficiencies of planning/thinking proficiency; thus forming a self-righteousity, irrelevent content, and idiot-bashing fueled circle-jerking morass of a thread) will get a rise out of certain folks; who than are led to anxiously await word from the OP on his condition, leading to either more idiot-bashing and/or ongoing pity tinged merriment as a means of reducing internal psychological tensions.

I know I got lucky with no liver damage

...for about 2 or 3 days. Or did you actually tell your doc "hi, I've been abusing my meds, can I get a liver workup?"

No? Okay. I give it about 2 or 3 days before you actually turn yellow, then.

Is 16k gonna do any permanent damage?

Quite the opposite. It will have a very healing effect on the gene pool.

God grant me the courage to change the things I can... and the serenity to laugh at belligerently stupid motherfuckers as they die, for it is a course of fate I can change not.

Have fun! :D

Is it REALLY that hard to do a CWE? It takes 40 minutes at most and you could probably do it in your sock draw if you had to.

Most people have a risk/gain factoring in their decision making, mabye you dont. Risk is your liver and the gain is a opiate high.

Worth it?

CWE's are incredibly easy, and you can even get a cooler for your sock drawer, by filling a large bowl with ice, crushed, preferably, then filling it in with salted water. That can even go a little below 0 without freezing, the water will be cold enough to cool your solution, by submerging it.

It's difficult to be busted, none of it is particularly suspect to overwatchful eyes.

In my expirience doing CWE on OTC codiene painkillers you can dissolve the stuff in a small cup anyway. Put that in the freezer for 30 minutes then strain through a dress shirt.

Badda-Bing Badda-Boom, no liver damage. If your parents notice that then I think they would have notice either your pupils or yellow skin by now anyway and the jig would be up.

He either trolled in making this up, is in a hospital sick, got really sick and feels stupid so doesn't post, or he's fine, and doesn't want the flamage here/hasn't cared enough to update. Either way, there's little chance he's dead yet, that is, assuming he reacts fatally.

It's actually possible he was discovered and grounded from comp. use.

But he's not dead yet. In all statistical likelihood, no matter if he had fatally OD'd or not, he would not be dead this soon.

In my expirience doing CWE on OTC codiene painkillers you can dissolve the stuff in a small cup anyway. Put that in the freezer for 30 minutes then strain through a dress shirt.Yeah, I can get by for a CWE for OTC codeine with two cups (one being a measuring cup, optimally), some paper towel (not the greatest filter, some APAP will get through, but well over enough is filtered to render it a non-toxic dose), and a freezer or salt-water cooling bowl. Minimum three implements needed plus crushed pills. A spoon helps, but you can improvise. ;)

Some microwave meals take more work then a CWE.

It's really quite simple, 'tis undeniable, truly, and furthermore most easily hideable. :p
