A few weeks ago, I made a thread about advice regarding taking vicodin.
I now know exactly WHAT to do, but I need to know the chances/dangers of an intolerance or drug allergy.
I've never taken nor been prescribed any prescription drugs.
I can't get a straight answer from anyone I know, so I thought "Hey, TOTSE!".
tl dr; What are the chances of me having a bad reaction to vics?

If i were you, id do the same exact thing i did to find out because i was kinda iffy about it, anyways take about 10 to 15MG and see how you feel, thats how i found out, but im not a doctor this is just my opinion and how i did it and every body reacts differently to drugs, but yeah 10 to 15 is about what ya need to feel anything, and if you feel like you can handle more, take 5MG more, at least thats how i do it.........HAPPY POPPIN  |

The chances of you having a drug allergy to hydrocodone, while entirely possible, is extremely low. Granted, seeing as this is your first time, feeling a bit sick to your stomach doesn't mean you're allergic; it means you're high on hydrocodone.

It is exceedingly rare to have an allergy to hydrocodone.

Any time you take a new drug it is adviseable to take a therapeutic dose first. This makes sure you are not allergic, and shows you what to expect with a recreational dose

You ate 10mg 10 minutes ago on a full stomach. You are not feeling the effects of the hydro yet, and even if you were, there is no way vicodin can cause pain.
You're just feeling placebo effects, give it 10-20 more minutes and you might actually feel the drug. |

Well it's been 31 minutes and all I've noticed is a slight drop in coordination. Just drank a slurpee.. Should I take more?
edit: not sure if relevant but I'm 5 foot 10 and 155 lbs

don't take more than 6. vicodin is great if you don't let opiates get to you. its a beautiful once in a while type of thing. if you let yourself get carried away you'll start doing junkie things, like checking med. cabinets at house parties :/

Take another 20mg instead of 5mg. Seriously. The absolute worst that'll happen is you'll puke. And with 30mg I highly doubt you will.
EDIT: the high usually last a couple hours.

OP heres a tip, redosing is very futile. take it from a junkie...
next time you wanna get high on opiates, now that you know your not allergic, take 25mgs off the bat. chances are you'll be at least moderately high, if not fucked up...
now if that still doesn't do the trick by say, the 30-45 minute mark [by the way, start off not immedieately after a meal, then eat something you know when your high], take another 15mgs..
its pretty common knowledge that 20mgs of oxycodone gets the average person high the first time. its not quite as commonly known that if you up your oxycodone doseage 150% you get your hydrocodone doseage [so for 20mgs, that be 30mgs]...
now if your keeping up with the math i gave you your right i told you to start off with 25mgs. thats because you can always add some later and have it work to a degree [hence the 15, not a double but it'd hit you]. the idea here is keeping you below 40mgs..

Unless you've had other opiates and reacted bad to them, there is no way of knowing if you're going to have an allergic reaction to them.
I have a friend who can't take any opiates as they make her puke every time.
As for dosage. I'd say start with no more than 4 - 20mg. That's a very weak dose for most people recreation ally. It is about twice the dose a Dr would tell you to take. So all around it is a safe dose.
Then go from there. See how it affects you and then you'll know for next time.

your head, it'll get comfortable. calm like. its hard to explain. you'll know it when you get there. but don't get too preconceived with how somethings supposed to feel. take some and chill dude.

Are there any short term affects of popping vicodin.
For instance, when I smoke pot, my short term memory is fucked for a day or two.
Edit: just looked in the mirror, my pupils are hella fucking tiny and my eyes are red/glossy. So I can't do this shit at school :(.
