A matter of ettiquette?
So, I don't know anyone who would have or need a scale, nor do I know anyone who would use or distribute drugs of any sort.
But I was just wondering, in cases when people do buy like an ounce of pot, and it is delivered to them in a bag, is it standard practice to take it out of the bag and weigh it? Or do people just assume that the person they're dealing with has weighed it out correctly and hand over the money without asking questions? Is it rude to weigh it even though it looks fine?

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
All depends on how well you know the person. If you look at it and have enough experience to know you're getting ripped off then tell the person you wanna see it weighed out. But who really cares about how the seller is feeling, you're the one giving him your money right? I'd say you have the right to ask questions and if hes a dick about then tell him you'll just go find someone else to buy a bag from.

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
where i am the cops have been doing a ton of busts lately so the price has gone way up and people almost always weigh anything over a quarter or so.

Judge by looks/feel...unless someone brings you something ridiculous like a 1/2 O or something as an oz but then just to make them look like an idiot...if you do put it on your scales, what are you going to do if its a gram or two short?

You say its fucking short, I'm not buying it. Why would you let somebody rip you off like a little pussy?
Weigh it. If they say anything, just say you always like to weigh out your shit. What the hell do you need to explain your actions to people for anyways?

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
It's rude to give people less than you say you're going to give them? Why do so many people do it then?
Is it rude not to zero/test your scale before you weigh the bag you're getting? Very probably.
If what one is getting is in a standard bag? Perhaps they already have such a bag & can thus weigh it & thus not have to take it out of said new bag. Often the less hassle the better.
I once saw a gram of hash oil come to a restau where I used to work, brought by a fellow worker. When held up to the light: instead of charging an extra Fin for it? Only being an acquaitance, coming miles out of his way on his day off? When held up to the light the vial was only half full.
So the buyer ran out to see if the wheels were still there. They foolishly were & had to replace it with a full one. ;) What stupid stoners. Why not give a full one with a surcharge: all up front...take it or leave it?

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
Any good, professional, and respectable drug dealer will be willing to weigh product in front of you. I usually weighed it out and put it in a bag in front of them so there was no question, if I weighed it ahead of time I would always be willing to throw it on a scale just for proof though.
It is not rude to ask to see it weighed, the only people who would consider it rude are the people who are going to try to rip you off. You never can be too careful.

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
Here's an idea: Don't spend $100+ on drugs with someone who you don't trust worth two shits. Kinda eliminates the need to worry about whether or not you're getting fucked.

thank you for stating the obvious.
Considering the broad range of intellect levels on BLTC, I'm not so sure that what is obvious to you and I is obvious to most others...
But hey, someone has to do it, right?

Re: A matter of ettiquette?
Do you think it would be safe to ask a hardcore gangster dealer? Down here where i buy, which is the shit-ass ghetto area down near Corpus Christi, all the dealers i know are gangsters. It's sad, but the more hardcore the banger the better the weed.
You think it would still be fine to ask him without getting laid out? I could beat him to death, if it was just my regular dealer around, but he always has like 20 people over.

Its a shady business. Ive seen it go both ways, people tare off the weight of the bag then others include the weight(0.5g BIG WHOOP RIGHT hard enough to get hooked up now a days with smoke). But ive been mishandled before from my usuals. Bought a few times got shorted, and i knew as soon as i looked at the bag, 3gs short of a half. Told em and they just brought the missing portion the next meetup. Then other times i buy a quarter and its extra fat. I remember I bought a dime from this kid, he hands me 2 bags, hes like 5 each if you want both..$10 and with both bags it equal'd about 6gs, that was some cheapy tho. Another time me and some buddies went to get a 4th, guy hands it to us...obviously looks like a half, kid says he eye'd it didnt have time to weigh it, we didnt say a word. Turns up he mixed up a half with the 4th LMAO. His fucking mistake.
Another kid was selling brown brick for like $60 a quarter, kid found out ahead of time from his sister, and the kid literally freaked out. Wigger kid(dealer), cool kid(buyer) was like man if he wouldve sold me that shit i would have put a bullet in his ass. Fuck them type of kids like that.
