After doing some balloons at blottopia this summer, I realized how much money you could make off nitrous. The guy was selling balloons for 5 dollars each and probably walked away with over 5000$ in one night. I looked into getting a tank, which I plan on doing before I hit up any more music festivals, but for now I Bought a cracker, and about 250 nitrous cartridges. I received them in the mail about a month ago, and it just doesn't seem to have enough pressure to fill a balloon. Is there a certain trick to getting it to inflate more? I have resorted to using newspaper bags, but my supply is getting low. I'm going down to SIU this weekend for unofficial, where I was planning on selling some balloons, But I don't think people would pay for a half inflated balloon, so it's looking like a pretty shitty investment. If anyone has any tips/advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I think your cracker is fucked. Or you're not using it properly.

After tightening the cracker, you need to slowly unscrew it. The chargers are pretty pressurized, more than enough to blow up a balloon, infact if you do it too quickly you'll freeze the balloon and pop it.

I was thinking about getting one of those cream whippers for personal use, but I don't think I'd be able to sell it like that. The whipped cream makers are cool. mostly becuase you can actually make whipped cream when you're not getting fucked up.

But at any rate you want to use a balloon. Taking one breath of nitrous doesnt do shit, taking ten consecutive deep breaths will fuck you up. So even if you get the big fancy $100 dispenser, you'll still be using it to fill balloons.

invest in the whipcream dispenser, then you wouldn't need the balloon....

And id give people 2-3 chargers in one balloon, that way they will come back for more ;-) . Everyone person ive shared nitrous with they demanded more, and one kid even was throwing down cash thanking me for sharing it with him.

Dude was charging £1 (like $1.70 or something) at a party I went to recently. I called him out on how extortionate that was ($1 is fair IMO). Five dollars is rediculous, however.

Uhh what? How is £1 a bad deal for a balloon? Get a grip, if someone's drunk or spangled on something, that £1 is going to send them to heaven and back for a few minutes. A pint's going to be what... £3?

At festivals people sell balloons for like £2-3, and THAT is profiteering, but tbh i'd still pay it if I was fucked on E or K; so worth it!!

Get a proper whipped cream cracker anyway OP...

There's a bit of a "knack" to it...

1) Inflate the balloon before hand, to stretch it out and warm it up a bit. You can reuse balloons quite easily I find, but if you fill them too fast they "can" pop if the nitrous is mega cold, so warming 'em up a bit helps.

2) Put the 8g (or 16g) cartridge into the charger bit at the top, which should unscrew. Then just screw that on, firmly, you should hear the nitrous fill the charger, with a lovely sound. Wait a few seconds... then unscrew it again quickly. You should now have a "primed" charger full of nos.

3) Insert the balloon over the nozzle of the whipper carefully... if it's sharp, make sure you don't puncture the balloon and pop it/waste it. Best to hold it on with one hand, whilst inflating it with the other. Put the whole lot in one balloon, and take it off carefully, keeping it "pinched" so none escapes.

4) Balloon time! I find the best way is to take big deeeeep breaths, get your blood full of oxygen and your heart racin'. Breathe out most (but not all) of your air, and then inhale from the balloon. Don't just inhale and hold it, keep breathing it back into the balloon, inflating and deflating it, and keep doing this for a good 10 seconds at least. You will feel reality start to "pop" if ur doin it rite.... then stop, and get a nice breathe of fresh air.

5) Enjoy!!

You should breathe fresh air at least once in between breathes.

People don't like that because it brings the high down, but it also lowers the chances of any brain damage whether short or long term, from continuously doing nitrous.

Vitamin b12, I think, (google it to be sure if you're taking it) is removed from the brain with nitrous, which is dangerous over time, so take the supplement if you buy a tank or something.

That was fun. Didn't sell any though, don't know why, was thinking about it and wanted to, but never got around to it...we just did'em all...

And I think the OP is using a cracker, not a nitrous dispenser which sounds like what mellow fellow is talking about using.

BTW, by a nitrous dispenser, it's ten times easier, and you can load 2-4 or 5 in at one time (don't do too much at once, they're hard to explode...i tried..with black powder, it just pushed the dent in the bottom of the metal bottle out and pressurized the inside).

You can still use balloons with them, plus if you're using food grade whippets, then most of the machine oil that inevitably ends up in the chargers, will end up sticking to the sides of the inside of the metal nitrous dispense bottle.

It's like a semi-thick layer of black grease that you can wipe off with your finger.

Pretty nasty and probably doesn't help your lungs too much.

I went to the head shop and asked if they had anything other than the whip cream dispenser like a cracker and the guy was like "actually crackers are illegal, now we sell these whip cream makers for making whip cream, they are more efficient and you can get 3 chargers into one of them, giving you 3 times the dose.... of whip cream"...

I'm pretty sure you already planned to do this, but definitely invest in the cream dispenser. Like the guy said, you can fit more chargers in there, it's easier to inhale than a balloon, and you don't have to worry about letting go of the balloon when you're floating.

5 bucks is the going price for a big baloon around here. At my friends last huge haloween party some guys showed up with a tank selling baloons for 3 bucks and made a killing. THey acutally made so much money that they got tired of selling them and were handing them out for free twoards the end of the night. I sat there for ages with those guys downing baloons til i couldnt walk anymore. It was just a pile of people falling all over each other and then getting up to suck down another baloon!
