reverse wow scam
hey guys im in need of help, im performing my first wow scam because im in need for serious cash. everyone on the forum whos selling wow accounts are petrified of people scamming them, not the other way around, buyers actually want to use paypal and most sellers get conned on a decent 40% average. theres something going on here and i want to know how sellers are getting scammed, is this a bit of nigerian magic because usually that shit doesnt work with paypal only with cheques and short term cards. if i had to guess id imagine there doing the "unauthorized transaction" option where they tell paypal that they didnt send the cash that it was hacked. paypals gotta be catching onto this. is there money in scamming peoples accounts with paypal and im looking at things from the wrong side or is it just paranoia and i shouldnt worry about my fake account getting scammed?

Re: reverse wow scam
Haha, once you start scamming people, they will post your information up on "Scammers forum"
Once you get posted up, very very little people will actually sell accounts to you.

Re: reverse wow scam
What the Buyer(scammer) does is he sends the money through paypal, agrees to the prices and whatever conditions. After the buyer gets all of the relevant information, he goes and takes complete control of the account. he can transfer characters off, change the email, phone number, address, password etc. then he will file an unauthorized transaction with paypal and get his money back in 2-4 days. paypal will side with the Buyer on any sales that involves intangible goods. without a shipping receipt or any hard evidence, the seller lose his account. ...............or the buyer can just say that he never received the package.....either way the seller lose. then the buyer can go on and like sell the account or something and maybe get scammed himself >.>

actually i dont play wow, i hate wow, im actually at a huge disadvantage with this scam because everyone expects me to know all the linguo, my first buyer came online and asked "OO?" eventually i learnt it meant original owner, theres more examples but thats the first that comes to mind, also since i dont have the game installed i cant make a trial account and send them that or search characters. everyone who wants to buy just seems like strait scammers, this just aint gunna work...
im going to try and tell the buyers that for me to send the information they need to make a claim and then cancel it so they cant make another claim, would that work?
