poppy pod withdrawl
Opiates have always been my DOC...Now im an addict...for years (probably 4-5) ive been using opiates at least twice a month usually alot lot more....now this past year and a half i've been a full blown addict... i started with a lot of morphine, then it was about 30mg of oxy and around 40mg of hydro a day for around 2-3months..flirted with H and all pharmecutical opiates....then i switched to poppy pods, i've been making tea with around 5 medium/large pods (around 20grams) every night around 5pm after work...I've been on this routine for around 5months..My life turned up side down for the better...My relationship has been perfect (the best in 5 years)/ my work life has been perfect and i can finally sleep at night..But im an addict and I need to stop ( i don't want to be a prisoner anymore)...Please any advice...Im gonna try to stop starting Nov.1 (im finally going to have 4 months of free time on my hands).....Any tips?...How should i step down slowly??? just keep cutting the dose down each week?? What would help with the withdrawl?? (immodium, xannax, diphedramine, kratom???) I have 4 months to finally be free of this addiction..any help will really be appreciated...Thank You

Re: poppy pod withdrawl
Im an addict, too.
I'd suggest slowly stepping it down. You need to just take enough for maintenance purposes, not to get the buzz. The majority of it is going to be mental.
If it was as easy as getting through WDs, i'd have quit a long time ago. Its the mental addiction to the bliss and euphoria that keeps me coming back. Maybe I can try suboxone one day, but I don't have $500 to start it.

Yea...plus the fact that when i started becoming an addict i cut all other drugs out of my life...including alcohol which was a big one for me...There was so many down sides to drinking, it made me almost lose many things..including my fiance...but when i started using alot more..i quit doing all the other stuff and my life turned around for the better...i was alot happier...which made everyone around me happier.. people love me when im using..and i love them...im scared im going to lose that...im scared im gonna turn back to alcohol...its the worse drug out there

Re: poppy pod withdrawl
I've heard of these places doing ibogaine therapy. Some say it can reduce withdrawals to 1%. If you did enough research you could just order the stuff over the net. It's not hard to find info on this stuff. Although personally I've had a hit an miss effect with psychedelics reducing mental cravings, sometimes it changed my life, sometimes it did nothing. However it's extremely difficult not to deal with your shit on high doses of any psychedelic, so if you have exhausted other options, maybe it will help. After all it's the mental and spiritual aspect that needs addressing. Good luck
