Possible bong/pipe?
Was thinking about making a gravity bong or a vaporizer a while back, my vape broke and all I had left was the copper tip with a small amount of glass on the sides. Long story short, I put it onto my propel bottle and it fits perfectly inside the hole, and the cap can still close.

I could grind out the glass in the middle of the copper and drill a hole in a penny, dime, or nickel, then place it as far as it can go, until it's locked in.
Any ideas?
Don't post buy a bong, pipe, etc. I can't risk getting caught.

Looks like too much effort. Smoke a joint or do hot knives.

With gravity bongs and the like, you don't lose smoke when you pass/hold it

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
Thats gonna blow. You need a proper bowl, you can't be smoking off loose change. And don't smoke out of copper anything [aluminum is no good either]. I would suggest you buy a glass bowl and shaft, this way you can make bongs to your hearts content. If you're worried about your parents finding it then just get a stainless steel bowl. If you keep it clean you can toss it in a drawer with some screws and stuff and nobodies the wiser. And your last option would be some sort of brass pipe fitting. Just look at the brass fittings at home depot and you'll find like ten different kinds of bowls [BRASS not copper, brass is thick and dull and the fittings are threaded, copper is thin and shiny and the fittings are bare so they can be soldered together]. You could even check the house for a good sized stainless steel socket [you know, like for a socket wrench], its not ideal but it works.
Once you have a solid bowl making a bong is usually no more difficult that poking a hole in a bottle. But don't use some ghetto ass bowl you made from light bulbs and pennies. Brass fittings and sockets are ghetto enough.

it'd be by itself, do your parents inspect every single bottle of water you drink? all there is a hole, the light comes out and would be hidden in a different spot. i gave up on this, just gonna use a coke can until i get my own place in 3 years.

Yeah, smoking out of an aluminum can for the next three years is a bad idea.

what kind of metal you smoke out of has no impact on your health.
None.
In order for you to inhale the metal you're pipe is made of you would have to heat it up enough to sublimate. thats thousands of degrees past the point at which it turn into molten metal.
Do you think your lighter gets that hot?
EDIT:
However a can could pose health risks becuase the paint on the can will burn while you're smoking. Its probably no worse than the actual weed, but it is worth noting.

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
If you use a can over and over eventually you'll burn big holes in it. Where do you think that burned up shit went? Don't smoke from cans.

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
I've heard people debate the whole lighter temperature thing over and over. The point is there's no point in using something that presents even potential health risks when safe options exist.

They don't for me, I can't drive, or get a ride from friends to a head shop, so I can't get blunt wraps, I can't buy a pipe or a bong, and if I could I wouldn't be able to hide it well enough in my house.

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
You can always find something to use as a bowl that's made out of a safe type of metal. Like I said, a SS socket or a brass fitting from home-depot would work.

Al can oxidize from a normal butane lighter. Trust me, you don't want to be inhaling that.

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
A butane jet lighter maybe, not not a regular bic lighter. Ever smoke crack out of a can? Yeah, no big deal. The paint is the biggest worry, and as stated above, the risk is minimal.
If you want to smoke out of a bowl with no health risks, get a glass piece or a proper vape.

I can't find any information on coca-cola cans having any paint in them, if that's what you're saying.

Re: Possible bong/pipe?
Before I start hacking away at this, does this look like it'll work as a vaporizer? I'm not sure if that's a coating of some form of paint or if it's the standard powder material.

That's what I was talking about, nigger. If you thought I meant the actual contents of coke having paint, you're more of a nigger than I. I clearly stated "coca-cola cans having any paint in them."

Looks like it's just the powder .. the way I do it:
crush the screw-end and loosen it up, try not to break the glass of course ..
Snap off the stem that sticks out and then break the inside that holds up the element .. crush that a bit so you can get the element out ..
The powder should wash out quite easily, if not just rub it off somehow ..
And of course do this all over a sheet of paper so you don't get broken glass everywhere ..

Just finished that, moving on to the bottle cap cutting/taping :).

Take a coke can. Take a knife. Scratch said can. Now analyze the results and think long and hard about what you just saw.

If you want to get rid of the coating put salt inside and shake it around and it should just come right off. then rinse and your set.

Most of the time this works, but I've come across some frosted bulbs that don't get clean with salt, water, or rubbing alcohol. It's like the frost is painted to the inside of these kind somehow. I haven't used paint thinner on one yet but I will next time salt doesn't work

It should work pretty well if you are desperate enough. I'd just look for any possible way to get a glass downpipe, but that's just me.
