Alright, seriously, instead of getting your medical advice from a guy who thinks the word is spelled "sezerian", maybe do some legitimate research on it yourself? Read what the CDC has to say about it. See your doctor. There's treatment for it, and it's not a death sentence, it's a rash you get a couple times a year. Chill out.

unless your sores have been swabbed and/or visually confirmed as herpes by a doctor you wouldn't really know for sure.

If you have been diagnosed, take comfort in knowing around 60-80 percent of the american population has some form of herpes. It tends to either effect the genitals or the mouth. MOST of the time you can only get one or the other. Most of the herpes carriers in the U.S. have oral herpes; to make it more publically acceptable we call them cold sores. The virus is usually spread from a kiss to a relative, sharing a drink or just regular kissing. It's so easily spread that even a handshake can potentially spread it. Most people will have a single outbreak of a cold sore and will never have a reaction again. Some people however will have multiple cold sore outbreaks throughout their lifetime.

Same is true for genital herpes, just it's on your dick/vagina instead of your mouth. Around 20 percent of genital herpes carries will never see ANY symptoms, around 60 percent have very slight symptoms and an unlucky 20 percent react like you see on commericals. That being said, of those who react around half will only experience one outbreak in their lifetime(the first one). And the other half will have reccurent outbreaks approximately 1-4 times a year and decrease as you age.

Most people are immune to genital herpes as theyve had cold sore outbreaks sometime in their life. However if you havent and you have sex with/skin contact/oral sex with a carrier and you havent had an outbreak ever you have a decent chance of contracting it. If you're sexually active, you have almost 0 chance of avoiding some form of the virus unless you stayed with one HPV negative person.

Relax, theres a huge amount of misinformation on the internet and in schools and word of mouth has given it the reputation it has today. Almost all doctors (unless you go to a hospital) will not give you a Herpes blood test, as they almost always turn up positive as the test doesnt discriminate between oral and genital herpes. The only way to be diagnosed is to show a doctor an active blister and have him send a swab of it to a test lab.

If you do have it, realize an estimated 20 percent of adults in the united states have genital herpes. It's really damn common. However, if you are diagnosed with genital herpes, understand that you are contagious around 2 percent of the year even if you dont have an outbreak, and condoms dont exactly take away the risk.

Even if you do end having this, it doesn't matter as much as it may seem right now. Don't just read this, go out and find articles on the virus to read more on it. It's no where near as bad as the stigma it has placed on it. The virus is part of a family of viruses that include chicken pox, cold sores, and shingles all VERY common illnesses. At WORST you're going to have an itchy dick around 1-4 times a year; and thats the very worst case senario. The odds are on your side however, so no real need to be upset with any of this.

I havent had it tested, i've not got blisters or anything, its just that the end of my dick looks like it has ecsma and is really dry and bumpy.......and that fits the description of the first stages.
