Halp!
i am so goddam annoyed im trying to find a film that i love, but i dont know who its made from, what year, its title. i just remember vividly this scene where these 2 people spread their friend captain's ashes in the beach and say "Goodbye Captain" and the ashes spread all over them and they start spitting and coughing and then continue "goodbye captain" as they brush his ashes off of them
but i know its quite old
70s maybe 80s
Btw forgive the shitty grammar, I just copied and pasted that from a friend off msn.

Re: Halp!
Sounds like The Big Lebowski to me. When John Goodman spreads Steve Buscemi's ashes and Jeff Bridges gets a face full of it. But I think he calls him "sweet prince" in that, not "captain". So, might be a different flick that you are thinking of.
Anything else you remember from the movie?

Re: Halp!
Sure, I'll check out the Big Lebowsky... perhaps my memory is a bit fuzzy.
Thanks for that.

It was so goddamn wanky, I turned it off after half an hour. I'm usually a massive Coen Brothers fan, too.

I'll force myself to watch it in full, just for you guys. Maybe I was in a shitty mood when I watched it.

What country was the movie from? It may have been The Big Lebowski, which is a movie that I too have seen and wanted my time back for, but I it may not have been. I am sure I saw a foreign film, maybe from Australia or something that had the scene with the spreading ashes. I noticed you're from Australia, so it might that.
I'm trying to track down a film featuring a hoodlum in a suit with a pearl handled Colt 1911 knock off going on a roadtrip with his lover to take a talking Stork back to it's home. It was French if I recall correctly, but the Stork was Polski. It wasn't at all like Nichtsewo.

Re: Halp!
Well thanks for all the contributions guys, I figured it out it was Life Stinks by Mel Brooks.
As for you Cowboy of the Apocalypse, I'm afraid I can't really help you... don't recognise any movie with a stork.
