zoloft question, please help
so i was put on zoloft around 3 months ago. i was on it for a month, but it made me feel really nauseous, mostly when i was around food. my doctor slowly lowered the dose and eventually i was tapered off it.
so ive been off it for like 2 months and i still feel nauseous when i eat, sometimes even when i think about food. (it feels like a nausea related to anxiety) ive lost a few pounds because im not eating that much. i looked up the side effects, but didnt see anything about this. anybody know whats up? thanks in advance

If you can, smoke some pot before you eat. That should stimulate your appetite.

I would say SSRI discontinuation syndrome, but you said it's been 2 months so that really shouldnt effect you anymore.
If I had to take a guess, It would be either:
A. The zoloft fucked with your serotonin bad, and it hasnt exactly set it self back to its normal level yet
-or-
B. You were so used to feeling sick around food that even though your off the medication your brain still relates food to nausea, kinda like a placebo if you will
-or-
C. You have genuine anxiety, which in term makes you sick around food (This used to happen to me all the time, when your worried about everybody and everything the last thing you want to do is eat. I had to 'force feed' myself sometimes it got so bad).

how'd you get over it? i know i do have some anxiety issues, but usually they arent too bad. mainly it becomes a problem when my mood is down, but so far ive been able to keep it up and havent had to worry.

Re: zoloft question, please help
Don't rule out the possibility that you have some unrelated gastrointestinal issues going on that have nothing at all to do with the Zoloft. Sure, it's possibly an after-effect of the cessation of the medicine, but it could also be a coincidence that both things were going on at once.
Here's a novel idea: go ask your doctor about it. Guarantee you he'll have better information to give you on this than any of us will.

This is probaly the best way to go at it, it cant hurt to ask your doctor why your feeling this way. He can probaly give you a definite instead of guessing.
And how did I 'get over' my anxiety? By starting a benzo regimen, which 8 years later has manifested itself to be a full blown benzo addiction with a tolerance you wouldnt believe. But hey, atleast I can eat right? :(

God, I used to be able to eat like a fucking machine on benzos...it was unreal. Could've easily put away Joey Chesnut or Kobayashi with enough pills in me.
