Hey, has anyone got good interview tips? I just got a phonecall saying I have an interview for something. I did'nt even know what the position applied for was until I looked up the company name on the internet, lol. It's for Sales and Marketing Executive. I think they're pretty desperate "Experience is not essential for those with the right attitude and willingness to learn. We welcome applications from candidates of all occupational backgrounds." my CV (Resume) is pretty weak, too. So any suggestions? I'm always shit at interviews. I plan on asking afew questions afterwards to make it look like i'm enthusiastic.

If it's not a pyramid scam, it might be trying to get people to sign up for a credit card. There might even be ticket sales or giveaways involved.

A job title doesn't mean a lot. Janitors are engineers too.

Interview tips:

Ask questions.
Talk as much as the interviewer, if not more.
Sell yourself to the interviewer.
If there's more than one interviewer, talk to all of them. Don't simply pick one. They'll be discussing you later.
Research the organization ahead of time.
Bring a notepad with you.
Be aware of the types of questions that you could be asked and come up with answers ahead of time.
Dress business formal/business casual.
Eye contact.
Handshake.
Stand when necessary.
Be polite.

Don't be afraid to ask for feedback.

Cheers for the advice, I went for the interview, it was a nice penthoust open-plan type place with afew desks with hot office chicks at them, very large windows looking out across the city, looked like a place you would go to get a photoshoot, basically this place looked legit. I got the interview and she ran over it quite quickly, she explained what they do and why they need people etc. She described the credit crunch over here as really helping their business because companys are wanting a bigger client base and are leaning more and more onto marketing/sales/events management companys like itself. Anyways, I had to fill out an application for and at the end I had to right my convictions, she went over it and mysteriously flipped it over when it got to the convictions bit (I seen her look at it and her eye open a bit more, she was really hot btw) so I know she seen it. I did'nt do so well on the interview some questions I just copied the answers straight from some websites and some others I did'nt know the answer to I answered with a 'ehmmm... I dunno' (I know thats bad) Another thing is I was about 20 minutes late. She says well I can tell you're a bit of a cheeky chappy and would like to invited you back tomorow for an 'open day' so you see what we do and get you out with one of the people or some shit. Thoughts??????????????? Scam?

Be very cautious, 20 minutes late for an interview (might be ok if you call ahead, due to emergency). Other that they wouldn't even consider you for that interview. Be very wary of that place.

I got the job... I think only because i'm handsome. I realised most girls there are good looking... sex sells. You see the job consists of walking up to people in the shopping mall and asking them if they want this or that. It's based on comission. Promotion is fast...
