Technically, my second experience but the first time it worked.

About 3 years ago I had bought some salvia 20x extract from a internet headshop. I stuffed a fat bowl in my metal pipe that came with it, lit it up with my jet lighter and filled my lungs and held it in for a LONG time. I'm not sure why I never felt any effects.

So about a month ago I went to the local smokeshop and bought some 40x purple sticky salvia. Oh man...


I was a cocky shit about salvia since I had tried it before with no effects, and since I had tried mushrooms since the last salvia attempt. I felt more psychedelically experienced. Jokes on me. But anyways...

My girlfriend and I sat down in my room. I tried to make my mind as clear and open to new things as possible. I was staring at my window as I took a huge lungful with the jet lighter and I held it in for about 40 seconds. And the next thing that happened was the craziest, and one of the most frightening experiences of my life.

I was taken to another place. It looked like my room but it was somewhere else. I had this overwhelming feeling like I had fucked up, done something wrong by smoking salvia. Then the entire world started rotating. It was nuts, I felt gravity keep pulling me the way it was rotating. I kept repeating, "What the fuck?!" and I say the word fuck in the air as clear as day.

I forgot I had taken a drug and I believed all this was really happening to me. As soon as my girlfriend started laughing my trip took a turn for the worse... all of a sudden it was if I had seen my whole life up to this exact moment before like a movie and I had reached the end. It was time to die. I felt the universe starting to close on me from the left and the right. My girlfriend said I put my arms out and was screaming, "No!" like I was fighting it.

When I came to I just was kind of shaky and happy to be alive. I warned my girlfriend not to do it, and she tried it anyways, and started crying and saying she wanted it to go away. Which it finally did.

I'm never going to try salvia again and I dont recommend it to anybody, but the point of this thread is I want to hear other peoples experiences about salvia. How was your first time? I want some crazy stories!

Yeah, breaking through on salvia(especially the first time) is pretty intense. Don't let one bad experiance taint your opinion, try it again, you know you want to.

Could be I'm sensitive to psychedelics too though. I could handle up to 70 DXM coughgels and be fine with the trip. BUT my first time chugging a bunch of syrup I thought all my friends were demons trying to kill me and I ripped my shirt off and walked home halfway across town talking to myself. NOT one of my better moments. I dont know why I'm so much more sensitive to the syrup

But I completely loved acid.

But yeah it just seems like you have a hard time letting go of your reality and remember it's all just the effects of the drug. If you keep that in mind it's a lot easier not to freak out and freaking out only leads to further freaking out.

I agree drugs like Salvia aren't for me. It's too much. Maybe a lower dosage would be enjoyable. I even dislike mushrooms, and DXM in syrup form. The only psychedelic I've truly enjoyed is acid.

Now had you just gone with and excepted it, there's no telling what you may have seen or learned. You really have to succomb to salvia though. I find it easy to maintain an overall grasp on reality if I actually try.


I've only ever broken through twice. The first time I was ashing my bowl thinking nothing was happening but I heard someone say, "give him a short, sharp shock" from Pink Floyd's Us and Them. I looked to see where the voice was coming from and I was laying on a hospital bed with doctors standing around me, one holding a defibrillator. I knew he was going to shock me so I ran out of the room and some lady took me down the hallway and took me into a storage closet. She told me she could show me all the answers I'd been seeking and proceeded in turning on a strange machine that appeared. The machine was very stereotypical like a cartoon machine with pistons, gears and levers and once the machine started, I was back in my buddy's bedroom I started at. I thought it was over but all of a sudden I heard the humming of the machine and the walls started to compress and crush me into them like a trash compactor. This sounds scary but I was laughing uncontrollably. While being "crushed" against the wall it turned into a painting of the English countryside with grassy hills, yellow flowers and castles in the distance. The compression pushed me through the wall into the painting [it was soooooo beautiful] and I once again returned to the room where I spent the next 10 minutes or so in a daze and then came good.

You should have just gone with the flow, it's only 15min or so.

but you did learn something after the dust settled. you learned how much value you place on your own existence and well being. if we were told we were about to die, nobody would take it well. that's why it just happens.

LoL man. No offense but..... Thats kinda weak. I smoke Salvia most weekends its my party drug beileive it or not. My saturday normals starts off with a few cones . Then vodka. Then I goto another universe by smoking Salvia. It makes me smile man.. I Know it affects peopel differently but dam its amazing. Walking around my house all day feels like iam in another world. I binge it all day.... Its insane but I love it. Words cannot explain the shit. Once I fucked my gf whilst I was on it..... Dam it was hella weird. I mean.......I was fucking her laughing my ass off. The dirty bitch enjoyed it to. hehe
