Default Rok-it bong

So, I've been on the lookout for a new bong, and I've seen these Rok-it bongs for a long time on the everyonedoes it headshop, and I've always been intrigued.

A few things that really turn me onto the idea of owning one:

1. Durable. I've gone through way too much money on broken glass.

2. Very smooth hits. Glass joint bongs are all the rage these days, but this bong looks just as effective - if not more so. In fact I think they're even the originators in smoke diffusion in bongs.

3. Small. I dunno why, I just like compact bongs. ESPECIALLY if they're as smooth as this one claims. Easy to pack, easy to hit, easy to pass, easy to transport. They even come with their own nifty case for easy packing.

4. Novelty. Glass joint bongs are everywhere now. I'm sure most of you know someone who has one. But what about Rok-its? You don't see very many of those. I've smoked with TONS of people, and have never run across someone who owns one.

5. Video below demonstrates how quickly the bong clears. I hate bongs that take most of your lung capacity just clearing a bong. Not only does this bong hit smooth, but when you inhale you're going to get much more smoke than the bigger bongs.

6. Easy to clean. These pieces can be disassembled completely and each piece can be cleaned to work brand spankin' new. Some of the big bongs have so much stuff in them, ice catchers, diffusers, percolators, ash catchers, large chambers...many of you know how much of a pain in the ass it can be to clean them. And lets face it, after they've been broken in, they just don't have that oh-so-nice fresh bong taste to them.

Anyway, here's some stuff for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about:

So, anyone use one? I've read good things but I'd like some of your guys' input. I've almost definitely got my mind set on this thing. It just meets all of my preferences in smoking technology.

I've used one a couple times, and I've got to say I have no complaints whatsoever. Pound for pound(well dollar for dollar, I guess, lest you be a brit), they blow Roors, and other quality glass-on-glass, away.

Honestly, I don't see why people feel the need to blow like $500 on crazy custom glass, percolated, ash-catchered bongs, when, IMO, it hits no better than a standard, quality glass-on-glass tube, or in this case a Rok-it.

i like it. seems just a bit pricey though...

its seems like a large bubbler that can be dismantled to be cleaned but with more diffusion of the smoke...

Like Dead1Head stated, $190 isn't shit compared to some of the monster bongs out there, especially if it works just as effectively (if not more) than the others. Plus, Those $500 monsters can be pretty easily broken if you're not super careful about them. I've seen it happen, unfortunately. So if some of that cost goes to durability and long-life, it's definitely worth it in the long run. I can even sell my current bong and get enough money to pay for most of the Rok-it, so I'll be doing more of a trade-in than a new purchase.

And in the few posts I've read of yours, Dead1Head, I trust your opinion so I'm really leaning toward getting one even more than I was before.

Looks nice.

I would take it over a standard bong in the same price range, for sure.

I've never hit one of those, but I would recommend any of the bongs by killer bongs. I used to have the tabletop 40, and I recently got the ripper. They're very nice. Lightwieght, very durable, easy to clean. They rip like a motherfucker, and they look absolutely awesome. I get so many compliments on that thing.

I wouldn't waste the cash. Its nice I won't lie, but for $30 you can get a kickass bong. I've been smoking for many years and I can honestly say the only new product to do anything worth spending extra cash on has been the vaporizer [IMO].

For $200 I'd rather get a nice glass bong and a BC vaporizer.

Edit: I stand corrected, $236CAD. No, spread that cash around.

I have makeshift vaporizers that work quite well. I'm going to buy a volcano when I can afford to invest.

Although one of my best friends has one and they're fucking awesome.

Kickass enough for ya? :p

That's why I want this. Everything I listed in the OP applies to my bong, and I want something totally different.

Nice.

Have you ever checked out the homemade volcanoes? Apparently they work well and should run about $100 [most of the cost being a good heat gun].

To be honest, I am not feeling the Rok-It bong. I have seen it on the net a few times and it just never caught my eye... too small... too awkward and it looks like I would light my head on fire a lot.

I have a bunch of money coming to me by the end of the week and I plan to buy a good 100-200 dollar bong... A nice big glass zong with an ash catcher.

I can't wait for it. But I have a VERY messy girlfriend currently so... I am a little scared to let her near my new bong.

I will just have to be careful.
