Default Legalities of owning/setting up a 'sex club'?

Lets say I wanted to buy some property. Two scenarios. (I live in US, state doesn't matter since if there was a state that these worked I'd go there.)

1. A club where people go to have sex, pretty much. In order to get in you must have a recent HIV/STD test and of course pay a fee.

2. A normal bar, but theres a stage where various people go on....like acts. Think of it as comedians and bands going up on stage all night and performing for the drinkers. Except there would be a bed, and people would have sex on the bed while the people sat and watched. Or other people would perform sex acts in front of the audience.

Would any of this be legal, could it be possible, what would it take?

(In bad ideas, because this could possibly be a bad idea.)

Illegal pretty much everywhere except Las Vegas.

As soon as word got out about your "business," plainclothes cops would show up and you'd be busted for prostitution and related charges. Cops have nothing better to do. Trust me on this.

http://www.swinger.net/

Swinging clubs are legal, but are subject to harassment based on antiquated morality laws and prostitution/pandering statutes.

Here is a PDF document about legal issues swinging clubs face:

If you were to try this, you might be better off keeping it underground and informal-like. Put up flyers in porn shops (especially the "high-class" ones where couples go) that advertise a social club of sorts. Don't mention swinging or live sex acts...let the clientelle come to you.

There's a swingers club, where you can fuck on the premises pretty close to me in Toronto.

http://www.clubhers.com/

Maybe you can pick something up from their site, no idea about how the laws are different between here and the US.

EDIT: Just realized that they changed their site to just say closed for the summer, do some google searches though and maybe you can learn a bit about it.

I lived in a few US cities (Colo, PA, NY, NJ to name a few) where there was a club where people could go and in a section of the club people would go in there and do pretty much anything you can imagine and packed tight with people, but mostly gay........................
