I don't know about that. I would imagine that quite a bit of THC is destroyed in the combustion process. You never burn while vaporizing...therefore there is no combustion, so you are getting more THC from the plant into your lungs.

I think that has something to do with the fact that you're not inhaling any of the harsh plant material, like chlorophyll and the like, so it's a lot easier to hold the THC vapors in your lungs. I imagine that since there's no other smoke, there's a lot more surface area in your lungs for the THC to get absorbed more rapidly and effectively.

Sorry to be a jerk, but ya are. Or at least, your reasoning is not the main reason that vapes get you higher.

The main reason is actually because smoking is just a very crude version of vaporizing. When you touch a flame to a packed bowl, everything is getting combusted (destroyed). Even our little ol' friend THC.

However, a small amount of the THC molecules (approximately 30%) do not get combusted, but rather turn into a vapor form due to the heat created by the destruction of everything around them. This small amount which remains THC can then enter your bloodstream once you have inhaled the cloud of smoke. This also means that smoking wastes about 70% of the THC.

Vaporizers are meant to avoid combustion, saving all that THC that would otherwise be destroyed. This is why you can get the same type of high from less weed if you are vaporizing it rather then smoking it.

I do not think there are any reasons why 'other material', like chlorophyll, would have any negative (or positive) effects on the high if combusted and inhaled.

I believe this is correct. I just meant that I see no reasons the presence of these materials would hinder THCs ability to make me high.

Their absence is welcome, but I doubt I would get "less high" is I smoked the same amount of THC along with these other materials. Just a different high, IMO.

For the ideal sobe bong -



Have a bowl with the smoke intake hole as big as possible, ideally as big as the mouth of the sobe bottle.
Have the hole big enough so that the water drains within 5~ seconds to keep the smoke from getting stale
Don't cheap out and use a normal pop bottle
When you're first sparking the bowl, partially cover the hole to prevent the full amount of water from leaving until the bowl is cherried.

I find SoBe's to be more of a novelty than practical.
If you're 15, and don't want to get caught with shit, use an apple or something you can just toss somewhere.
