Yeah, get a sitter, amen to that, you need a friend with you cos Salvia's will make you really out of it. You'll have no sense of reality for a few minutes after you take salvia, it's liberating in a way. Also if you're smoking, and you're anything like me, you'll need someone to grab the bong out of your hand when you heel over into an hallucinogenic coma after taking a hit.


Salvia's an ideal first drug, no experience is necessary.

Get a high quality standardized extract and use a bong. After salvia, you probably won't fear shrooms or acid or dmt too much. No point in trying a low dose if you're a beginner. Go straight for the high doses.

no experience needed, it goes away in 30 minutes, even if it is bad it goes away so soon it doesn't matter.

just load up a bong of some extract, hold a lighter over it, inhale, set the bong down and hold it in...

in about 30-40 seconds if you did enough to break through expect to be in a far different reality....

have a sitter and nothing near you that you could hurt yourself with...

I did it with practically no prior experience tripping. I dont recommend doing it this way at all.

I first smoked salvia after a friend bought some a a headshop because the asshole working there sold it to him as "legal weed". he could not smoke due to an employment drug screen coming up but wanted to get high on his birthday and the headshop guy sold him 5 grams of 10x for 20 dollars. Neither of us knew of salvia's full potential. during the party we snuck outside and packed up a fat bowl full and lit it up.(we used a regular BIC lighter, not a torch lighter) after a few good hits each we were both laughing uncontrollably and the stones in his gravel driveway were flowing like waves on a river. Another hit later and it felt like i was standing on mile-high stilts in raging river of flowing rocks while the leaves on the trees looked like a million bursting fireworks. At this point i knew this was WAY more than a "weed substitute" and we both stopped smoking. My friend stopped lauging a minute or so later and suddenly started asking what the fuck was wrong and why were we out in the driveway. a few minutes later he calmed down and we both looked at each other and asked, wtf did we just smoke? We looked it up online and found out it is not a substitute for weed at all and what it really does.

In the end it was kinda fun but im really glad neither one of us broke through. An unexpected salvia trip induced on 2 people who had never done anything more than a low dose of shrooms probably would have ended badly. He sold the remaining salvia to a guy at the party who knew what it was for 20 bucks so in the end we both got an interesting experience and it cost us nothing. As we watched his friend break through sitting on the lawn and go absoloutely nuts i learned firsthand of salvias true potential. The guy was in another world for about 3-4 minutes off of one HUGE hit and when he came back to reality he said he loved it and proceeded to take another hit. He handled himself rather well other than being completely terrified when my buddys dog jumped on him and started licking him and he basically just stumbled around and fell down a few times while saying random shit.

I've only had a couple of bad trips on Salvia; one of which was down to my friend who fucked with me while I was tripping. (He got a fist to the stomach when I had regained control)

No amount of preparation will ready you for how you will feel and what you see. My suggestion however is, don't do it sitting down (at least, when I do it sitting down, I get a bad trip because I want to move around but I can't.). I suggest putting yourself away from anything that you could harm yourself on (including roads) just a precaution, you don't know how you will react. Also as the other have said, use a bong, its much easier and the trip is a much quicker onset. Hold the smoke in your lungs and count to 20 you will of felt it by the time you get to 18.

Oh. Always use a torch lighter. Attempts with a regular clipper were futile.

The trip wont last longer than 15 minutes at the most and as a first time try I suggest 20x tops. Anything else and you're going to scare yourself shitless. Be warned; salvia will fuck with your perception of life/the world for a couple of days after.
