Personally I would boycott such a day had I known of it sooner...I take my girl out and pay all the time, I buy her presents for three days of the year (Valentine's, Birthday and Christmas) and I have to get yet another present for a girl for "sweetest day"? Fuck that.

When's the day when they get a gift for the boyfriend outside of the main three afore mentioned days? Is there one of those? I think not.

What a load of bullshit. I laugh at any guy who buys anything for their girlfriend on this "sweetest day"

Maybe you are unable to read correctly, Sweetest day is not a day where YOU buy presents, its a day where YOU receive a present.

I've never heard of this.

In some asian countries, girls give things to guys on Valentines (Feb 14) and then on March 14 the guys reciprocate.

I still say it's bullshit though. Why does there have to be a specific day where I get a present? I should be given beer every day by my significant other!

Why does there have to be a special day...I buy little things for my missus every so often, like on a whim if I'm out and see something she'd like.

As far as gift-giving day names go, "Sweetest Day" is pretty terrible.
