Exactly. People and certain environments will simply distract you from what your mind is trying to show you. When there's nothing around to interrupt your trip, you'll generally find it much more serene and peaceful, and you'll see how much quicker you'll get lost in hallucinations and visuals than in an overstimulating environment.

Because of that, it might even be suggested that it will seem like you're tripping harder because of the lack of interfering stimuli.

I never get visuals off shrooms if anyone's around and only little visual distortion on a small amount of acid, but when I'm alone that's when everything goes crazy and gets fun.

Tripping alone is awesome.

I've done it. Tripping alone is cool for the first couple of hours, then it gets a little old.

Well hey, if your mind bores you that much, you should stick to the body numbing drugs :)

I prefer to trip alone, people come off to me as really weird when I am tripping and it makes me uncomfortable. You also get a lot more out of your trip if you trip by yourself, since i find that there is a lot less giggling and dumb conversations, but is more introspective and powerful when you're tripping alone.

Tripping by yourself is definitely much preferable to tripping with people you don't like.

One of my favorite (and first) trips I was by myself watching a Quentin Tarantino flick.

I remember once I came on to a massive amount of dried shrooms, I think it was 4 ounces. Well I had them in these BIG ASS 1 gram capsule thingies and ate 12 of them, dimmed the lights, put on the movie "science of sleep" and went bat shit fucking crazy. It truly tests your limits when you do it alone, but is so worth it because you have more time to actually concentrate on what you're feeling. Be warned though, your mind will try to break you.

I highly suggest it, unless you're in a bad place in life right now. Otherwise, if you're happy with your self, do it.

Yup, it's worth tripping by yourself, you get to do what you want, when you want; but I find myself being lonely on the come down most of the time.

Yeah pretty much what every one else is sayin. Youll prolly get lonely, or convince yourself you've gone mad. When i tripped by myself...once i was peakin for about 45 minutes i had convinced myself that the shrooms had gone bad and i was going to die. I was also watching 300. perhaps that contribued to it somehow.. as for playing video games well i tried doing that also, but i couldent really focus on anything for more than about 5 minutes. time was just way too distorted. i had plenty of trips outside and plenty of "poster looking" time. I kept asking spiderman if i was going to be ok, to which he replied "hell yeah dude! were fuckin trippin balls!" that made me feel a lot better. My advice, Get a bright colored drink and save it for emergencies. If you start to feel like the "black hole" and depression and shit is taking over, just tank the drink. I did this and it turned my mood right around. It felt like the liquid flowed straight through my body and made everything happy..
