My hydrocodone script says there is 1 refill. I thought you couldn't have refills on hydros? Can I just walk into cvs and get it filled or do I have to call the doctor and then he calls it in?

Pretty much yeah just tell them to refill it. Its not schedule I IIRC. I was able to refill some lortabs before so I don't think its that big a deal.

when i was getting 10mg percocet from my doctor she said something about not being able to put a refill on it...but i've had refills on 7.5mg hydros. she didn't have a problem prescribing it for me (90 pills for a month supply) so i would just have to go to the doctor every month for more scripts...

I'm really not sure how they regulate what is and what's not refillable, maybe someone with better experience could help??

And yes you can get refills on hydrocodone. I do it all the time. It's things like morphine that requires a paper script each time.

Ok thanks. It says take 1 to 2 pills every hour and not to exceed 8 a day. It was a 40 pill script. Could I theoretically go in two days from now (after 5 days went by) and refill it? Could I say that I'm leaving town and was going to be away for awhile?

Refilling in 4 days is pushing it, however with my script of xanax I've gotten the refill for 30 days supply in as little as 13-15 days before. You can get away with getting it early if you dont have insurance, if you do, your insurance will not pay for another perscription until the original one is legitimately supposed to run out.

I ran into that same problem with my hydros. It was a week before my month was up and i ended up paying for it.

Percocet (oxycodone) is Schedule II- which allows NO refills, ever, and requires a physical script each time rather than a simple call from your doctor.

Hydrocodone is Schedule III, which allows one refill and is able to be phoned in to the pharmacy.

Also, refilling it that quickly depends entirely on your insurance and/or pharmacy's practices....but more so the insurance. I had a 20 count of Percocet 10 mg once, with a maximum of 4 pills a day, and I did indeed fill it on the fifth day with no problems concerning either insurance or pharmacy.

Damm, where are you in NY that you are paying $1 a mg for oxy? Wtf, oxy is $.50 a mg over here, sometimes even cheaper. Shit If I was going to pay $80 for an 80mg oxy I would just go to the hood and pick up a few stamps

I don't really buy opiates so those are just the prices I've been offered. I'm sure people get better deals if they're doing them everyday.
