Make up your fucking mind.
Alright this might get to be a long story, but hopefully not.
This girl added me on Facebook and I had never talked to her before, so I started a conversation with her. I thought she seemed pretty cool so I kept talking to her for the next few days... I went to some movies with her and everything seemed to be going well. Now, I knew that about 2 months earlier she had broken up with a guy she really cared about because his family hated her for some reason and he went into this church program where you can't have any communication with anyone except your family. (I know, wtf right?) But anyways she told me she was basically over him and so I kept pursuing the relationship. Last night we were watching movies and started making out so I thought it was good... But today she texts me saying "I've been thinking about him more and more and I'm just not ready for this right now, I'm sorry. I really like you though I promise"
Now I know she is not going to see this guy for a long ass time, maybe never again, but what the fuck should I do? It seems like she doesn't want this and she just used me... but I still really like her, and I think it could work if she does get over this other guy.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
She might have just decided she doesn't like you and is lying to keep from fucking up her self image.
Otherwise its probably legit. You might want to just move on, not much you can do if that's how she feels.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
probably a test.
just tell her you want her to be happy and if that means no longer communicating with you than so be it. tell her that she should have made up her mind before she led you on.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
I really don't think it is a test, and I think she does like me, but she is still emotionally attached to him I think. She was with him a long time, and me only a little while. I think that being with me might have just reminded her of him more, and she isn't ready to continue with this. She doesn't want things to change, she says, but it's not like they can really stay the same... we're going to talk about it tomorrow in person, so I guess I'll know more then.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
just try to figure out the root of the problem. she might be tellin you its him but really its another guy she just met recently. girls act funny for a reason, they usually wont tell you the truth neither.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
This is almost exactly like a situation I've been in...
you can't ask her to make up her mind. just keep hanging out with her, tell her even that you'd be willing to just hang out as friends until she clears her head. she'll agree. and just keep acting cool around her and before you know it, you'll be screwing around with her again. if she smokes/drinks, try to get her to do that on a friday night.
seriously, this just happened to me and this plan has worked. carry on as normal friends, don't pressure her into anything, don't bring up this guy.... just show her a good time and get her drunk if you can.

Re: Make up your fucking mind.
Thunder fuck her box into oblivion.
But in all seriousness this is what I'd say:
"'Not ready for this'? Fair enough, I don't mind taking a step back because I know once you spend more time with me you will get over him. Lets just take things a bit slower, I'll see you tomorrow babe". Be firm, fair, confident and assertive.
