Default Cheesecake Factory

I'm going to the Cheesecake Factory with my amazing, perfect boyfriend tomorrow.

I've never been; is it any good?

Our English Major club used to go there once a month for dinner after whatever theatre piece we went to see..

It is very expensive.. but it's good.. I wouldn't necessarily say worth it.. but it is enough that I come back..

That place seems like it's expensive for the sake of being expensive. I dunno, nothing really special about it to me. I feel like they could cost a lot less and offer the same food. And I like cheesecake too, but I aint in to all that fancy flavor shit.

Its not bad. A step above the slop houses that are so popular these days (Applebee's, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc etc.), in quality and in price. Though in my opinion for the price, there are usually much better local places.

The food is horrible, especially for how overpriced it is. There is absolutley nothing special or unique about their menu. If it was cheaper then I might tell you to eat there but I highly doubt it.

But the cheesecake on the other hand is fantastic. I thought the same thing most people do when introduced to the idea of paying $7 a slice, "No fucking way in hell. I just spent $65 on crap food so I'm not giving you crooks anymore of my hard earned money. Fuck off", but then I tried a piece. Needless to say my birthday cake every year consists of a Cheescake factory cheesecake that usually runs around $40 plus for one of their medium sized cakes.

As far as Applebees being a slop house, I would choose their Cajun Lime Talapia over anything at Cheesecake factory and most other restaraunts any day of the week.

Well you obviously disagree with me, but lets see if anyone else thinks Applebees is better than Cheesecake Factory.. I'm guessing not, but we'll see.

What does everyone else think?

I've only eaten at Cheesecake factory once a really long time ago. It was good, probably better than Applebee's. Then again, Applebee's barely counts as average in my book, so I'm probably a bit biased.

So I definetely need to try the cheesecake? I didn't get any the last time, I think I was full. I remember thinking it probably wasn't anything special, but I guees I was wrong. I really like cheesecake, so I wouldn't mind trying the higher quality stuff if it was truly worth it.
