Re: whats your favorite line from a song?
This changes constantly, but my most recent favorite line is from the song "In a Sweater Poorly Knit" by mewithoutYou, I only get to see my girlfriend 1 or 2 times a month when school is in session, and this line stuck to me when thinking about my loss.
Quote:
you're a door-without-a-key, a field-without-a-fence
you made a holy fool of me and I've thanked you ever since.
if she comes circling back we'll end where we'd begun
like two pennies on the train track the train crushed into one
or if I'm a crown without a king, if I'm a broken open seed
if I come without a thing, then I come with all I need
no boat out in the blue, no place to rest your head,
the trap I set for you seems to have caught my leg instead!

"Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage..."
The Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet With Butterfly Wings
I've liked that song since I was five, and those lyrics have been stuck with me just as long.

Re: whats your favorite line from a song?
Suicide Chump by Frank Zappa is always going to be one of my favorites ever lyrically. There are a couple of lines that sum up exactly how I felt back when I was "suicidal" (12-15 years old... in quotes because i was so full of shit as a kid). Everyone who feels like this needs to listen to this song and realize how god damn stupid they're acting.
You say there ain't no light a-shinin'
Through the bushes up ahead
'N we're all gonna be so sorry
When we find out you are dead
...
Now maybe you're scared of jumpin'
'N poison makes you sick
'N you want a little attention
'N you need it pretty quick
Don't wanna mess your face up
Or we won't know if it's you
Aw there's just so much to worry about
Now what you gonna do?

Nice choice,I love Frank Zappa he has great lines that you could use from all of his songs, i especially like suicide chump cuz i love how it shows how suicidal teens are such douchebags for thinking they know everything about life and how "shitty" it is.

Re: whats your favorite line from a song?
"i slap women, do shrooms and then OD - don't you want to grow up to be just like me?"
or
"take me disappearing through the smoke rings of my mind, through the foggy ruins of time, down past the frozen leaves, the haunted frightening tree's out to the windy beach - yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, silohouted by the sea, with all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, let me forget about today until tomorrow"
