I was recently informed that much of the "cocaine" sold in my region is not coke at all and instead powder methamphetamine. New to anyone other than me?

This makes sense because there was times where my coke kept me chomping on my jaws for several hours after any stimilating effects should have worn off. I thought that the coke had been cut with adderall or something.

But then a couple of people have told me who a substance sold to them as coke was simple methamphetamine in the form of white powder. Whoa...

No big surprise truly, but alarming as I was naive to the idea prior...

Is this a popular trend in your area as well?

Meth has a rather distinct burn when you rail it, and it also has a rather distinct nasty taste. Coke makes your tongue numb. I don't see you how you could have possibly confused the two.

Meths better than coke if you ask me. I'd still knock the dealer out for overpricing the meth though.

Meth in coke is interesting because the coke is being cut with a more euphoric/potent drug that lasts for hours. He probably just put a pinch of meth cut to hell with baking soda and lidocaine or something.

Yeah, there is amp in coke a lot of the time. Most people have never really done good fishscale, you should do an acetone wash if you want to though.

i can see how idiots are to stupid to know the difference. I know a kid who got "coke" and i watched him do a line in skool and proceed to act high afterwords. Later found out it was baking soda LOL.

Also this is kinda related. Supposdly some weed that was goin around my town was laced with meth. Im the first one to call bullshit on these rumors, but someone who smoked it tested positive for meth on a drug test and he never smoked meth before. It like exploded kinda when you lit it. Or when you put it in a blunt and u tried to tap the ash off it like wouldnt tap off it just stayed there like it was glued. It was passed off as White Rhino ( i correctly called bs on that one), but ppl who smoked it siad it was speedy and a very odd high, some kids barely got high off it. There were some rumors about it being sprayed with 409, but idk about that one. thank god i didnt smoke that shit

We know that there IS, in fact, methamphetamine in the aforementioned cocaine. OP never posted back to say whether there was any numbness? You'd (well some[/ii] would) expect some kind of 'caine to be added. What makes you so authoritarian? Make you feel powerful?

Did I ever discount Meth? No. Don't you think it worth it to add some lido/novo/etc 'caine too? Maybe not for straight up meth being sold as coke, but any kind of mixture that was just partially meth.

Yeah, it would get my gums numb upon numbie and it tasted like coke. But there was just something about the way I felt even hours after the last line, I thought that it felt like concerta but it could have just been good coke. This happened once on new years day 2006.

Then, the other day, I had a friend tell me that he had been buying coke from this one mexican and then he later learned that "it wasn't coke, it was meth." That's just all he told me.

So it seems to me that it was likely that the coke was cut with meth and probably a good amount of inert shit as well. All this thread was for was to warn potential victims of this scam and to survey the rest of the globe.

If people are claiming there's meth in the coke is it not easily plausible that its cut with a common adhd medication called meth-ylphenidate....I can easily see powerdered methylphenidate being misconcepted to be coke by the noob user or not sensed by a more experienced user.... Everything OP said makes this seem like the likely answer.... that's my two cents atleast
