Default God has a sick sense of humor; I can't start a relationship.

I haven't been in a relationship in at least two years. This is not my fault. I think.
This is also not a networking problem. I go to a university with 35,000+ and work at a place full of people on the weekends.

Well, it is my fault, but not really. Every girl that I talk to is either already in a "relationship" or a lesbian (happened twice). The vast majority of others I happen across avoid me as if DISEASE was written all over my body. Let me try to articulate this a bit better: Most of the ones my age go for the ones older. They're "more mature" or whatever.

Why? Is it because I can't like myself? That's bull. Is it because I don't have something? Its not money or social skills. Is it because of Murphy's law? I think so.

What exactly have I done to get this negative magnet? It is beginning to depress me to no end. Am I supposed to just float on by myself in misery forever or what? Should I just be glad to be fetter free, should I join the priesthood?

If you're miserable single, why would a woman want to be with you? So you can drag her mood down?

A year ago, I was just fine and dandy. I didn't even care about it. I wasn't melodramatic.

But a year of polite rejection can get you this way.

Either you just have really bad luck, or there's something about you that you don't realize.

I'm 18 years old, never been in a relationship. Doesn't really bother me, unless people happen to be making fun of me about it. As far as I know I'm not gay, just unmotivated. Should I be worried?

Do you smell bad? Are you fat/ugly?

Improve your body, wear nicer clothes, wear nice cologne, and start going to parties.

As far as you know you're not gay... Does not sound very assuring.
But you threw down a thread already. So nevermind.

I do not have any negative qualities, aside from negative qualities we all have. Not fat, not Short, (not going to say not ugly because that would be too egotistical to be so full of oneself) but not bad looking. I get hit on by older women where I work. I'm talking 35 year olds. That's not a good thing. You see what I am saying? The people my age think people their age aren't worth the time or some shit.

AND -I do not smell, I do not wear strange clothes. And I don't look for the ones not looking for a relationship, since that is what I am looking for
Matter of fact I don't wear anything but gray/white/black/green/khaki. Fuck labels and designers.

So you smell bad?

Obviously you're doing something that repels people, so help totse narrow it down. Do you dress weird? Do you approach these girls awkwardly?

Perhaps the girls around you are not looking for relationships.

Women like arrogant attractive men who'll make them laugh. My arrogance is what drives me to approach gorgeous women in almost any situation. I act like I deserve them, I display my talents without an ounce of humility. Then I make them feel great by genuinely complimenting them and I make them laugh with my killer sense of humor. See, this probably made a few guys here think I'm a total self-absorbed douche, and that means I'm on the right track. Women actually don't mind if you're arrogant, as long as your qualities back your claims. I'll tell women I'm really smart, and then have intellectually stimulating conversations with them to show it. I'll tell them I'm funny, and have them laughing for hours. I'm great in bed, and I prove it. Women don't get mad at me for being arrogant, and many have told me that they kind of expect me to be because I have practically everything going for me. Now tell me, what woman doesn't want a guy that isn't fake, and has everything going for him? They all want that.

Now you need to get some self-esteem, show the world your awesome skills and traits, and cut out that humility shit unless you become above average and need to be humble to grease the social wheels. Just don't overdue it and project something greater than what you are, or else you'll be discovered as a fraud and will get fucked over.

I approach them in different ways. My theory as to why they are repelled is God hates me.

By men?

Lol, I realize what I wrote was confusing.

I'm doing THEM a favour by sleeping with them. It's a privilege to polish my dome, and they're the luck ones.

Don't think of it like "I'm good enough for you", but rather, the next time you're chatting up a girl and it's getting a little serious, throw out "so what makes you think you deserve me?"

As long as you don't come off like too much of a dick they'll play along and realize you are for real. If they act offended, relent a bit but don't back down. If you back down you're fucked, it's better to lose 1 girl because you're too much of a dick than look weak in front of the whole pack.

If you can't handle that much psychological multitasking, don't try it.

this. It can change your outlook surprisingly quick, take a couple shots of something and try it out at your next party, it should work wonders. Remember, its not the arrogance, its the confidence. You can be confident without being a dick, just look people in the eye and be "real" with them.

No, I was just taking the piss. I agree that to be in control of a relationship or sexual situation, you must be in control of yourself. However, I think mutual respect is the best breeding ground for an excellent love-life, as rare as it is to find.

That is not psychological multitasking. And losing most of them but getting one girl by not being an arrogant ass is more of a victory to me than having everyone think I am a self absorbed conceited bastard.

To the OP: Do you have any developed talents? Craftsmanship? Art? Music? Philosophy? Humor? Conversation?

Here's the deal for me: I'm a handyman, an artist, a musician, a philosopher, a comedian, and a linguist. I also have heavy interests in martial arts, guns, sports, engineering, and physics. My tongue can keep someone's interest with ease.

There's a lot I have to offer a woman just in my external personality.

Internally, I tend to think of other people nearly as much as my self; that's no great display of humility, but I'm not exactly a self-absorbed cocksucker, ya know? I like to help, entertain, and surprise. I don't have too many vices, but my main one can be a huge turn off (cigarettes). I know how to listen, and how to relate to people. I learn a lot from each of my life experiences, so I have a more-mature-than-my-age personality, which women my own age tend to cream themselves over.

Sexually, I'm in tune. I can read a woman's body very well, and have no trouble with the proposition of giving them more than they give me, which ends up getting them to give me much more than I'm CAPABLE of giving them. I suppose I just lack endurance; two hours is my limit.

All of my talents, my personality, and my sexual prowess was not developed by seeking talent, personality, or sexual prowess. It was developed by carefully seeking ways to help other people. If your concern is simply with finding a woman to make you happy, you're going to have a few empty relationships, or many horrible relationships.

My sincere suggestion would be to give away every last possession you have and go to a homeless shelter. Find what makes you happy in the most draining of circumstances, and pursue it with undying passion. Your talents will multiply, your personality will mature, and your motivations will be rearranged. In a couple years you will know lasting happiness. And on relationships with women: you'll be a catch rather than a trap, and that is what ANY woman is really looking for in a man. Personality quirks can be endearing to them, but if you're a spiritual drain, nothing good can come of being with a woman.

I'm not the shit, and I'm not special. I have a sincere desire to give more to life than I take from it...which tends to give me so much more than I could ever give it. That's the real secret of life; tried and tested for more than twenty thousand years and never once failing.

A. you care to much
B. your lookin for a relationship, that's the worst way of actually findin one. That a girl isn't looking for a relationship doesn't mean she's not intresting. Last thing my gf wanted was a relationship... till she met me and within 2 weeks she suddenly saw... the advantages. (and i didn't show 'm on intention, relationships scare me)

Maybe you just give off a pretty strong "rape" vibe or something. Some obscure little trait of your mannerisms or body language that you don't even realise you are doing, but is sufficient to alienate the object(s) of your desire. Without seeing/ listening to you, no-one here can really help you beyond that.

Its weird how all these guys have to actually be acting a certain way just to pull lmao i think you kind of self-pwn. If you have to act then she doesn't actually give a fuck about YOU.

Heres what you do...........be confident, have high self esteem and act yourself. She likes you/she doesn't. Doing what i said is a LOT more hard than you think in social situations and if you can do it the girls will like it!
