this is like the second time this has happend
what should i do in the future to prevent this from happening?

Spermicidal lube can cause UTIs for girls and is no more effective at preventing pregnancy than regular condoms. Stop using them, and read more at www.condomdepot.com

Girls should also pee after sex. That's the #1 way to prevent UTIs. The spermicidal lube probably wouldn't do much unless the condom broke, but I imagine you've had a few break. Best to not take any chances with spermicidal lube.
