My grandfather wants to use it to go on a holiday and save up the rest for "later use". He wont elaborate but i think he means to give it to his kids when he dies.

so she left him, she's living with my great uncle now (her brother) . I guess this was the straw that broke the camels back. He's been unfaithful during their 30 years marriage numerous times. I have 5 half uncles and aunts from him and numerous women that he's knocked up. I guess I'm sad that the house i mostly grew up in is going to go. If i had some money i would have purchased it off them and lived there myself. They're getting divorced over stupid things and each of them are blackmailing the other with "secret information" that they wont keep secret unless the give X up. They are each trying to get us on "their side".

Do you think she knew that he liked to play the field when she married him? You've got to admit that problems or not they were together a long time. One bonus (?) is that she won't have to look after an old guy. Women often complain that they have to keep on with keeping up the house & lifestyle, while the old guys just sit around & enjoy themselves.
