Sass, Sassy, Sassafrass etc are all street slang for the drug MDA, the immediate precursor to MDMA. It is a less "lovey" and more "trippy" experience. Much loved. If you can get it, try it.
Unless of course some dick is actually selling sassafrass plant material to be smoked, or pure safrole to be ingested.
